Hi all,

First i have to say that this guide is really great and i don't think i would have stayed with that game without it.

I (obviously) did not look at every post in that thread.

This is my first season so maybe my question is naive.

I followed the guide and it works pretty good.

But in the guide it is stated that the "first goal" is getting a staff with "Trigger a socketed Spell when you use a Skill".

I really have no idea how to achieve even that "first goal". I got my "early" items, i think, but i had to take the first staff with 5l that i got through divination cards.

I know that i have to get the staff through syndicate encounters. But i really can't imagine how that is going to happen.

When i get a drop on a syndicate encounter this one has to be a staff, this one staff has to have at least some useful sockets AND some useful stats AND i have to get that "veiled" stat too....

I really hope i did get something wrong here because as a "first goal" this seems impossible.

It is valid option for unveil for axes, wands, staves and bows.

After you unveil 3 times "Trigger a socketed Spell when you use a Skill" it unlocks as recipe for crafting bench. So you can craft this affix on ANY staff.

And "+3 all lightning spells" or "+2 to all spells" is the best staff to craft it on.

Hey!

I'm not the OP of this post but you seem quite confused on this so I'll explain it to you:

-You do Betrayal encounters, and they will drop "Veild" weapons. These are weapons with a weird line at the end of their modifiers. You take these weapons to Jun to unveil them and hope that 1 of the 3 options she gives you is "Trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill."

-You find 3 of these items and craft that line on them. After doing this for 3 times, that line will unlock in your crafting bench (in your hideout).

-After "unlocking" the craft, then you are free to put the craft on ANY item you want. Just like that. The catch is this line is a "SUFFIX" so your item has to have an EMPTY suffix. You can check this by pressing ALT on an item to see how many suffixes it has, a rare item can have up to 3 suffixes. So if your item has 2/1 suffixes, you can freely craft that line on your desired weapon.

Hope that explains it, have fun!

No problem, agnerods are 1-2c and u dont need it to be 5l'd since orb of storms wont be used as often because it wont be automatically casted.

an ES helmet with some life and resists will cost u anywhere between 1-5c

an ideal situation if you have the budget is a 6L'd chestpiece, I got mine corrupted at 10c and then used the crafting bench to change the colours to 6B. Controlled destruction and increased critical strikes is a huuuuuge damage boost.

after that, see how your life totals are. if its around 4k you can afford to get damage multiplier, lightning dmg, etc

Okay I've made quite a few changes, I was looking forward to getting an anoint but unfortunately I found what I think is a rpetty good talisman on the ground, and the person who has the amulet I want is dnd for the last few hours

I've probably still got about another 100c to burn, do you have any particular suggestions? I originally bought this piece for switching builds but I'm thinking of 6Ling it and using it, any thoughts?

Working on the rest of your suggestions still, thanks, it does feel a lot better. Looking to upgrade the staff once I find a +3 lightning that maybe has something else too
Hi ;) I'm leveling and gearing with this build but it's hard to do delirium maps T10+. I've got about 2ex to spend. If any Arc-expert could tell me what should I upgrade first and second will be nice :)

This is my equip:

Thank You for made this build, it's awesome!

As a new player: awesome guide, I enjoy playing a league start for the first time with this build.

What I noticed though is a bit of a void between end-of-storyline and full-on-mapping.

I am stuck in-between somewhere and for example can't switch to Eldrich Battery and Zealot's Oath yet because it breaks me in all kinds of ways, probably because of lack of gear. Maybe I am just unaware of gear farming tactics and thus stuggle to utilize this build as it was meant.

Any advice on gear slightly lower and cheaper than the things listed under Gear?

first you need Life, your gear barelly has any so when you go for eldritch battery you are left with low to none survival, so dont spec it until you have a good HP base. so for now unspec the batery and Mind over Matter until better hp (3k+).

as for where you should start with gear:

- chest (5L is cheap) with 100+ hp and some resists (i can give you previous one if find me in game, its a 5l with 99 hp some fire and chaos resis so nothing fancy but decent to start).

- head, a cheap one with as much life + es + resist you can find. dont bother looking for a 4l head as you will be able to easily roll the 4 sockets youself and no need to pay more for it.

- gloves, exactly same as the head slot with as much hp + es + resist and roll the sockets youself.

- boots, same as gloves and head: life + es + resists and in this case movent speed if you get ones cheap.

- weapon, get a agnerod west they cost 2-3 chaos and you can roll it to 4L to start with for the orb of storms + 3 suport gems for it. and when you have the stuff rolling you can roll it to a 5l if u wich but its better to save resources for a rare staff with +2/3 gem buff and better dmg stats (these will be expensive so you can go with agnerod west for quite a long time and not have a problem with it, like tier 10 maps easily)

- rings, 1 with as much life + es + resists, and once you are capped with resists you go for the second ring: a Mark of submission and you socket assassin's mark gem (you can use a random weapon on the second wep slots to start leveling it already)

- Flasks, make sure to setup them properly as advised (they drop normally so you dont need to buy the basic ones but make sure to use baubles on it to increase quality before upgrading them to magic quality as this save you quite a bit) one guide and buy atziri's promise as soon as you get the previous upgrades since it costs very little for how much it does.

- amulet, you can keep yours for a bit more and upgrade for better stats once you are confortable with currency.

Hey enki,

Would a vermillion ring be ok to use with this build? It has an implicit of 7% life. I was thinking of replacing one of my rings with that if I can get the resistance crafts I want it, etc.

Lastly, I have my vaal (21/23) bumped up to level 27 to get the extra chain, would I need a 2 (empower level 4's + 3all lightning skills (which I already have on my weapon)) to push it to level 31 to get the 10 chain and if so, what would I need to replace in the 6L vaal arc in terms of gems?

Thanks for the help. :)

It is all writen in the guide. Why is noone read the guide and almost everyone is just asking for already answered questions?

Quote from guide:

5th Link: Increased Critical Strikes* adds base crit chance and a multiplier to our crit chance. Once you reach ~50% crit chance without this gem and before Diamond Flask buff, replace it with a Lv3/4 Empower to raise Arcs level and with that its base damage, and even gain extra chains if the result is a Lv26 respectively Lv31 Arc.

EDIT: I did not read it properly, sorry. I think you need to get +3 more levels from your chest to reach lvl 31 Arc. +2 lvl of duration gems from corruption and +1 to active skill gems.

The highend choice is still pretty basic, simply all of that on a Vermillion Ring.

End of quote

Does the endgame form of this build use Wrath as part of the auras? I'm bit confused as it's mentioned in Devouring Diadem but it's not in gem section? If we are running Wrath it has to be in Diadem I think? And what aura mana reserve reduction nodes do I need on the tree could anyone explain?

Wrath add a lot of dps in the build and you will use toghter with Zealotry, Discipline and Flesh and Stone. So you realy need it. To achieve this you will need "The Devouring Diadem" helmet that have "Socketed Gems have 20% reduced Mana Reservation". In this helmet you will attach all your aura/buff skills and you will need the aura cluster node and another single node that reduce 4% mana reserverd.

Thx for all your answers.

I actually gave in today and bought a tabula rasa and an agnerod staff.

I really thought i could do this on my own, i was wrong ;)

I don't like trading stuff but i have to say, that in this game, the possibilites for trading are great. Totally ignored this before.

Now i at least can spend more time on getting the better items without getting angry on every non-drop. :)

Thx.
