1.3.1b Patch Notes

In 75+ maps you notice the nerf ... Flameblast 20% less fun.
"we only make major changes when new leagues are introduced", now nerf flameblast 20%? that is huge.

kinda lame. seems a lot of people have to spend tons of regrets now if their builds are fucked. not saying it didn't need to be nerfed, but i was expecting changes to burn damage rather than just flameblast.
vaal or no balls
Overhauled the system used for text rendering. The new one is approximately five times faster and supports characters from some difficult-to-render languages.

What exactly does this mean? No more %fps drop when having chat open, or what?

Version history
1.3.1b

Reduced the damage of Flameblast by 20%.

1.2.0

We have reduced the critical strike chance from 6% to 5%. We have reduced the damage by 15% at all levels.

1.1.1

Fixed a problem where Flameblast was accidentally buffed heavily in 1.1.0. Based on feedback on the insane version, we then buffed the pre-1.1.0 version by 48% on purpose in this patch.

1.0.4

Flameblast has been added to the game.

Since it's introduction Flameblast has had a number of changes to damage. If we take all of them into account and consider the damage it had when it was introduced we get almost the same value we had then (more specifically a buff of 0.64%). At the time things like this were still possible.

Considering how much people pronounce each and every thing dead every time a change occurs GGG should add a new Doom Prophet class. It's bound to be popular.

Well played.

Those explanations in italics make all the difference.

Well done.

Currently, I'm not playing or planning a Flameblast character, but having played a character with lots of passive buffs to damage and almost none to casting speed, I can certainly appreciate the idea behind

"require players to put themselves at slightly more risk by casting it for longer."

I haven't seen whether the 20% reduction is flat across the board, but it seems to me a better way of achieving their stated goal would to put more of the reduction on the lower end of stacking and very little to none at full stacks. GGG could also have increased the casting time for higher levels of stacking.

Well this step was kind of guarenteed but very poorly done imo. The whole burn-prolif thing should've been reworked. Burn-prolif is still going to be the fastest clearer. You shouldve done something about that and not the damage of flameblast.

It's probably being worked on. (I hope) (And I love proliffing).

I really hate to see such big nerfs so long into a league why not just wait until next league then when there is no competition now anyways?

So they can nerf it even more for the next leagues.

Still some older alt art race prizes need that 3D art love. Also, it should be "Stanching," not "Staunching." ='[.]'=
