The gloves are not OP, especially not in hardcore.

1st post is up to date with the new items as well as the wiki. I'm not 100% sure about the mod ranges, though they should be very close.

Yes, but then again as i mentioned you will not be able to overcap res as well, its a give and take. And 400-500% life nodes is very common in ranger/marauder builds.

Just to illustrate how badly wrong you are, here's a 115 point build that only takes life nodes.

It has 497% life. It's actually pretty close to a high life RF burner build, but those are a special case since for them life nodes are damage nodes. And even such a build can't afford so many life nodes since they need at a minimum more regen.


e: 521% life build at 119 points (take Oak's 40 HP in normal). I'd accidentally taken a few regen nodes in the above build.

Please count how many life % nodes on tree really? For a character that has 280% Life Nodes from passive tree, 80HP on gloves gives her ~400HP more.

Using your assumption(for a character using kaoms, astramentis, alpha's), assuming each ring gives 30% all res(equal to 100 res), both rings will give 60% All Res. Boots will give 40 all res. Belt will give 40 All Res.

Your total all res would be 170% All Res(30 + 60 + 40 +40). Subtracting -60 due to merciless, that will be 110 All res. Taking into account that chaos res is still at -60. So assuming some perfect gear combination, we take out 30 res from the 110 All res and put it into chaos res. That will give 80 All res plus 30 chaos res.

How is this res cap? Especially in a map with ele weakness and -max res?

btw wishinan, pls dont take it personally, but if u cant overcap resist easily, then u should buy more expensive gear since i still have max resist even when i unequip 3 of my gear

what i say about ring is not 30% all resist but 100% all resist from 2 ring, meaning each ring can give u 50% all resist, i think u will ask where that 50% all resist come from? ok i will explain it to u since u not understand even a simple thing, prismatic ring ( u know prismatic ring right?) can give u 2 all resist mod, up to 12% and 16%, so up to 28% all resist, and u can still get 2 other resist up to 45%, so that was 90%, assuming we divide it by 3, so u can get 30% each resist, 28%+30%= 58% (yeah assuming that was all max roll), of course its nearly impossible to get that max roll, but u can still get good resist ring around 40-50% all resist

With 521% life nodes, that 80hp on gloves is going to give you way more then 400-600 hp.....

My character with Kaoms and close to 300% life nodes in passive gets a 400-500hp boost with 80 hp on gloves.

You're also know that it is almost impossible, so why bother to include something that is impossible into your argument so as to justify your stand?

Even if there would be such rings, I already mentioned earlier, if you are going to have a Pris Ring which will give you 50% All Res, it will defnitely give you lesser DPS since the 2 other res that can add up to 45% could have been DPS mods.... I'm not sure who is the one who doesn't understand...

You can max your res at 85-85-85-85 after unequipping 3 of your gear, in an ele weakness/-max res map? I'm also assuming you're using thunderfist/no all res gloves?

If you have 300% Increased Maximum Life you will have:

80 + (300% of 80) = 80 + (3 * 80) = 80 + 240 = 320

This is quite below 400 or 500 life.

In order to get 500 life from 80 life you would need 525% Increased Maximum Life. This is a lot!

In fact, 300% is quite a lot, even for HC.

If you think my calculations are wrong, prove it with screenshots with you only wearing and taking off only one piece of equipment.

I want to see your life go up by 500 by putting on some gloves!

Link above has 317% life nodes, and there is still a lot of nodes invested in to the duelist tree for dps.

He gets about 400 HP, with a 89 HP yellow glove.

It is very common for lvl 85 and above players who use kaoms and stack life nodes like the above build to get 4k+ HP from Kaom's Heart alone.

I don't have to prove it really, just pm any lvl 85+ ranger/maruader kaoms user on your friendlist and chances are they will tell you the exact same thing.

Very common in any class which uses kaom's and stacks life, by definition! There are rangers and marauders which don't use kaom's, and there are characters of other classes who do.

It would be more accurate to say: Everyone is stacking life and using Kaoms. These people can get 320 to 500 life from high rolled gloves.
