I don't think most of the deadeye bonuses apply to your minions, so that'll probably be a waste. Necromancer is really the only viable ascendancy for this, since I'm pretty sure even the trapper bonuses don't help it so no reason to go Sabo either. Deadeye has tailwind and the cooldown nodes which, as I've shown in a previous post, is enough to be very competitive with necro. " With a single clone, the single target, 5L dps against Shaper is 140k for necro. With a modified tree for Deadeye, the dps is approx 100k (if including Tailwind). Deadeye spawns minions twice as fast. However, the duration is only (1.9 / 2.6) = 73% as long as necromancer's. So deadeye's dps = 100k * 2 * 0.73 = 146k dps when correcting for differences between the two classes. Deadeye's advantage over necro is that it is capable of getting Acrobatics while still achieving 6k life. Deadeye also gets more movespeed and attack speed (for casting clones). Necro has bone offering or spirit offering which are considerably weaker in the new patch. Both seem to have very similar dps. There are loads of ways to get flat ES regen to cast with. Ghastly eye jewels, the new spider chest, even a shav's ring would more than cover you. Current deadeye progress: Used spectral shield throw for clear and molten strike for single target. Since shield throw gains base phys damage as it levels up, you don't need extremely good shields while levelling.. just find a level appropriate armor shield and get quality20. At level 54 I switched to atziris mirror. The only dmg nodes I got were the proj+shield nodes close to raider and duelist. Shield throw - ppad - Pierce - slow proj At level 66 I got lioneyes glare and switched to mirror arrow. Very shitty levelling process, not a build for beginners.
