You forgot to mention you have 75% increased damage from duelist, 14% spell damage and 62% area damage from tree/jewels

Soo if you combine all the increased damage for vortex dot you got we end up with 396%. You are basically a caster!

I would love to think that my build is so versatile that it can 1shot with any skill and it be legit, but the fact that I need 4 pierce nodes to one shot 9k life with LA and literally no new nodes to one shot with vortex just proves my point too well. I have synergy nodes for a reason since I use offhand, but the fact remains that there are too many MOREs, the damage it does is way too high, and I don't really think that could be argued the other way around lol.

Don't get me wrong, I'm going to use the shit out of this against trappers and juggernauts but even as the guy that will be using it I'm admitting it's way too op

Doesnt change the fact you have 400 inc damage for vortex and LA (maybe around 650% for your earthquake?). Your build is rather versatile when it comes to increased damage!

But yeah, vortex is gg vs all melee builds and useless 0 damage 0 movements speed tanky (aegis) builds. Versus everything else the spell is quite useless even though it deals massive damage. Vortex does nothing to archers, ranged casters, trappers etc etc (mostly because it is a slow melee skill). Even if you swapped 200% inc dmg from your earthquake to vortex, your earthquake would still be masssssively better against such mobile characters.

Basically vortex is just another element to the rock paper scissors game that we also call path of exile -.-

Hahaha rock paper scissors yup! Yeah, like I've said before, my build is meant for tankiness and synergy but it's still a melee build when the all the chips are down. I've never seen it react so dramatically with any other skill with such little investment.

With frostbolt, you can use faster projectiles/gmp and get trappers easy especially if you're freezing/chilling/tc on hit.

There's other ways to use it, but none of them are great for pvp, because most people who are unaware of the frostbolt delivery technique just zip in on targets with LW.

Only problem with frostbolt is it is clunky and hits things kinda easy. But yes, I've tried it even with lvl 1 faster projectiles, and it makes a hell of a lot of difference. Only thing is, players are just used to only aiming in the general direction of shit and probably can't handle actually having to aim at something, so that meta might fall by the wayside since it takes effort.

today a friend of mine after my advice,(who has no pvp experience at all)did a vortex + hot build with 12x grand spectrum jewels. his herald of thunder one shots me from 8.5k health.
