my kinetic blaster can still function vs groups but really this came out of the blue. Frost wall was used to augment the damage of on hit procs (lightning arrow, kinetic blast, etc) when you didnt have enough targets to properly proc it against. This was a Seriously Cool interaction. I thought it was an amazing thing to include. and yes, people probably abused it too hard. it was possible to get WAY too many procs off. SO by all means, limit it. make it so a single wall can only result in 4 procs before it ceases to help (or something). But removing the mechanic entirely just feels awful.
I play this game because it allows me so many options towards sucess. There is a set of rules, and it is my challenge to find a way to bend around them to pump the most i can get out of the system. Bypassing cast speed was my favorite mechanic in the game, and now you have basically tried to remove it. This is a persistent issue with the balance team at yur company. when a mechanic gets out of line, hit it with a nerfbat, bring it into line. I would happily take the 35% less discharge damage if it promotes the health of this wonderful game. but that is not what you do. when something is out of line, your default response is to haul the GIGANERFER 3000 out of the closet and just bash it into oblivion. You did it to incinerate. now youve done it to mjolner. and you dont havee to do it, i have seen you do things right. Your changes to SRS a while back successfully maintained the skills identity while bringing it more into line with other skills. you adjusted and reworked the skill just enough to achieve the desired result. Doing simultaneous compounding nerfs in the same patch feels unnecessarily targeted, and can have such a profound impact on the mechanic that it just struggles to exist (see:incinerate). Slow it down. IF the mechanic is troublesome, aim to reduce one aspect of its functionality, bring it into line. And evaluate whether it achieved its goal. I am hoping this will still be workable, but if it isnt, PLEASE RESPOND AND REEVALUATE. when you nerfed incinerate, you basically compounded nerfs on until it was almost unusable, then never went back and looked to make sure it was in decent shape.
I was truly looking forward to this expansion. I was preparing and planning for weeks. I even bought a supporter pack (with my extremely limited funds) because i believed in this company. and now i feel betrayed. I am not excited, i am not hopeful, i wish i could have my money back because i have lost faith in the decisions of this company.

Wow the amount of tears and hate here is ridiculous. Every time things get nerfed everyone cries about it, then people complain the game is too easy. Doesn't matter how many nerfs happen every league I manage to max a character easily and meet 99% of the games challenges, the 1% being higher skill based challenges which I cant do because I'm not good enough, which I can admit unlike 90% of this childish community. Every time they have nerfed a skill I built around, I still manage to do most of the games content. Peoples automatic reaction is nerfs = skill is useless now, which I cant tell if that's lazy thinking or just stupidity. Another great topic that never fails to arise on these forums - "I CANT INSTANTLY FACEROLL THE WHOLE GAME WITH 100 EX WORTH OF GEAR SO IT MUST BE BAD DESIGN, IT COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE MY SKILL". You guys are all honestly the most pathetic bunch of people. This is one of the best ARPG's ever made, and its free. Its always been FREE and GGG constantly produces new content and expansions FOR FREE. Honesty people must be so unhappy with their lives if they get this upset over some nerfs in a computer game. 1 minute they do something you love and you praise them, as soon as they take your toys away you all pout like children. The saddest part is 90% of the people that say they will quit, will play the new league anyway whilst continuing to whinge on the forums. Grow up POE community, We need to be better than this!
On a separate note: Thanks GGG for producing more awesome content, looking forward to the expansion.

Everyone needs to see the last unique reveal on the latest 'LIONEYES WATCH' podcast. Im pretty sure that helm is the reason they are nerfing CoC, becuase there is a new head CoC in town. But i wouldn't expect anyone crying ignorantly to do any research of their own on this game they 'spend so much time and money on' XD

I quite like the patch notes. They could rather nerf all op skills rather than buff worse ones but at least all these changes except blade vortex makes sense

The funny thing is that Kinetic Blast was released 3 years ago, nothing changed since then. The mechanism of Frost Walls has been always there for many years. So where is GGG over the last 3 years? What is different now? more build threads of KB?

There's a reason certain builds become meta---because they work. I would love to have a build for every skill, but the truth is certain skills, no matter what the build, wont get you through end game maps reliably.
I've seen several friends (who have played since Beta) quit because they tired of having their builds nerfed. And I think I'm not far from the same point. Again, it's depressing to save up exalts for months to try that awesome build, only to have it ripped out from under you once you get there. And to those who say you can make an exalt an hour....BULLSHIT!
They dont do incrimental buffs cause they can only buff or nerf when there is no league, also they don't balance around perma leagues want to stop dealing with your builds getting rekted? Play temp leagues.
Why Standard always pay the stupid nerfs of temporal leagues, many players feels so way superior because play temporal leagues, when the true history are that are insane boring to level chars, and the emotion of fresh economy are dead at third week, on this league ill stay on standard, i dont care of new mechanics of the leagues, since warbands I dont feel that playing leagues worth time or effort. Are sooo funny that many players feels "elite", because invest some buck on titles, and deffend ggg, and see others (standard players), like crap. Nice one my great elite player.
