Path of Exile 2.4.0: Atlas of Worlds Patch Notes

CoCs out for Harambe one last time guys?!?!?!?

All the nerfs were warranted, though maybe a little too far in the case of CoC (I don't feel like doing calculations since its a build I've only done once before anyway).

I don't really care about legacy items at this point.. they don't affect the competitive aspects of the game (races, new leagues).

I am however quite disappointed by the lack of a real buff to melee skills.
Reave/vaal Reave:

If the increased Area per Stage has lowered, in the end i will have a smaller stage 8 reave, right? Would be disapointing.

What exactly do they mean by channel skills? As in incinerate? Not sure what they mean by this.

Hold down key to make it last... Flameblast for radius and strength, incinerate for length, width and damage, new ones coming (can't spoil them).
No Problem,

ofc i can compare, i lost alot of time on it, time is precious maybe ppl dont value time like i do and that why they dont care to stay on the endless nerf loop every league 1 get nerf 1 buff and the wheel keeps roling.

like i said i would love to play solo offline, but i cant i dont care about multiplayer, and about this elitism. and theres nothing i can do to stop them of destroying the most fun build ive played on my entire fucking life of playing games since D1.

time is precious and you spent it to play games?

that why im sad, im a casual player it took me forever to build that toon, now to build another again jesus.. the toon was not even finished yet.

like i said before if i was young with 10+h per day to play, fuck it i would not be here posting, but i dont have much time to build a powerfull char again every 3 months after the end of the league coz the community cry about nerfs when they should just ask for buffs on the skills that ppl dont play like lightning tendrils ... and other 100

No offense man but this isn't something new.

There are plenty of really strong builds that aren't broken as shit.

If you really want a character to live through nerfs, then

1) think of 1 yourself (not foolproof of course)

2) DON'T BUILD THE MOST OP BUILD IN THE GAME. IT WILL BE NERFED

100% with ya here! :D
Trying to satisfy the whole PoE community is like telling a nymphomaniac to only have sex once in a week.

I think that's fairly accurate. :')
Just th eusual GGG style "I dont have a fucking clue what I am doing but I hit it with the nerf hammer as hard as I can" - and nerfs are not about bringing stuff into line but obliteration of skills or items...

Lets see - mjölner builds were okay - not even tremenduously op not in the line of EQ or blade vortex - EQ got a smaller aftershock damage as a nerf while mjölner builds:

Lost reliable charge refill from juggernaut
Got a 35% damage nerf when triggered
mjölner no longer triggers all spells
mjölner triggers have half a second delay...

ANY one of these would have been cripling but no. you needed to add 4 parallel nerfs at once...
Seriously... Fuck you guys.. I regret getting a supporter pack... You can always surprise me how far you can go into utterly brainless nerfs.

It is incinerate all over again - lets remove a skill gem from the game... why not all of them? the game would certainly be more challenging with only autoattacks... -.-
The difference is that incinerate was at least FOTM and relatively strong when it got nerfed first... Then of cours ggg monkeys decided to backwards nerf all chaos conversion items hitting again an already nerfed incinerate.

Again - I don't care about meaningful nerfs - but when a stronger skill gets a small nerf and a weaker one gets 4 big ones that is retarded...

Yes I know CoC was very strong and I was expecting a nerf as Chris mentioned this before. But wow, 500ms cooldown? That sounds slower than most caster builds.

It is exactly twice slower than caster build with Spell Echo and Faster casting supports (that's 2 gems for 2 gems)

Cast on Crit + Spell + Attack that triggers it = cast time of 0.5s
Spell + Spell echo + Faster casting = cast time of around 0.20s - 0.3s

So it is better to selfcast rather than use CoC :)

And Reach is now Legacy just as I predicted. Some people gonna become too much rich :D
GGG Mentality: "Hey let's make the game more difficult! That'll make it more entertaining!"

.."Oh, and while where at it, let's make ANY viable melee build, plus other somewhat strong builds completely fucking useless. Can't have anybody completing the new content, now can we :)))"

If ANY GGG employee in charge of balance is reading this, get your fucking shit straight. These nerfs are outrageous. Especially the Juggernaut nerf. 30%? I could understand 70, maybe even 50%, but this is absolutely bullshit, rendering the "tanky" ascendancy option completely useless.

Also, by nerfing Discharge so violently, you've basically removed a skill gem from the game, aswell as a much loved item, the Mjolnir.

If you guys at GGG think this is going to bring certain builds "more in line" with others, you are fucking out of your mind. Please, tell me what you guys have been smoking over in NZ, I'd like some of that shit.
