i tried over 300 desecrates on 5 shore maps, 50 desecrates on 2 strand maps and the same amount in malformation...didn't get a single cannibal fire-eater... :(

maybe i had incredibly bad luck before, now i got it on shore, using increased monster variety (was looking for:inhabited by humanoids) after 2 desectrates

Yes, that is really rediculously unlucky. people keep reporting incidents like this, but still i keep failing to open more than 2 shores without fire-eaters in a row. :/ there is no reason to desecrate that often, link your desecrate to spell echo and desecrate ~ 5 times, if you do not have a single fire-eater by then, move on to the next map.
I remade the "How to get map lvl spectre" section btw, as ILjXYZ and bolec mentioned the "Area is ihnabited by Humanoids" mod is crucial. ;)
of course i wouldn't do so many desecrates but as it is a new patch i wanted do it for science :)
and the humanoids mod ist the solution atm - using the templars laboratory as a second map-device for getting back your spectres who died, is a nice tip as well - they stay open for 30 mins :)

We'll figure out how to handle these new circumstances the best way possible!

well, here's the good news: the desecrate changes are being reverted

In 3.0.2, we fixed a bug where Desecrate would choose from any possible monster that could spawn in the current area including those that you had as Spectres, but noting that it could not spawn monsters that could never spawn in that area (such as non-map monsters). This was especially confusing due to the fact that there are some monsters that share the same name between their campaign and map versions but are technically different monster types.

The reason why we fixed this was because it was very confusing as to why some monsters could be created with Desecrate if you had them as a Spectre, but others could not be (depending on what area you were in). There wasn't an internal list, it was just due to the unclear way Desecrate worked. We received a lot of complaints in 3.0.0 about how confusing Desecrate's behaviour was, due to the fact that 3.0.0 contained a lot of monsters that shared names between campaign and map versions while technically being different monster types.

The fix to this in yesterday's 3.0.2 update was to make Desecrate work how it was intended to work originally, where it summons monsters from the actual area you're currently in.

Community feedback has shown us that players found the prior behaviour very important, so we are explicitly changing the formal behaviour of Desecrate to: "Desecrates the ground, summoning corpses and dealing chaos damage to all enemies in the area. The corpses will be chosen from the monsters in the current area and any Spectres that have existed in this instance."

We expect to release this change early next week. Thanks for your feedback.

This is a buff.

Actually, it will be even better with the new desecrate behavior (the one next week, not now), as we won't even need to look for a specific map to find specters as long as we have them.
Doing first spectre summoner. Is this build or a pure spectre build (that has 6 spectres like ghazzy) better for the following; clearing, bossing, defensively?
ilvl86

After loosing t1 life on 3 pairs gloves with t1 res/as, finally 2 annulmet orbs made me happy.

I'm not min-max guy and i'm bored with this league after three builds 90+ lvl.

Multi craft, int, res/attr, %es, es?

edit:

I have been wasting some more currency
2 of 10 left. Not worth imo multicraft without t1 es mod.

Best +3 gem str 40+ went bad

Left for annul

done setup

Second time i did this build, i had fun as hell. Great build Wolf

I gonna buy some jewels and gems for other type of spectres. I like a lot frost sentinels they freeze all screen with rare mobs but with the sound on, they make my ears bleed.

For jewels, Fire damage doesn't affect your minions, only minion damage does.
You should get %ES instead.

You are right. That's explain why price was so low for them. I could swear when i was doing 1st time this build in 3.0 beta and i had been messing around with jewels for frost sentinels with minion dmg and cold/spell mod they were getting more damage on pob. I assumed it works for cfe spectres too. Should check that more closely.

Jewels with minion dmg, %es, str/dex/int sell for 1ex+. Very cheap. I was planning to get them and use with Presence of Chayula but i didn't want to sell items from my 2nd char. After i have killed Shaper deadless with 5.1k es and vaaled +1 curse on 1st Eye of Chayula i haven't changed nothing till my last crafts.

How i got ele weakness midnight wand? Buying The Lich sets was very painful thing. After maybe 7 sets i gave up. I have been farming even catacombs boss. 15 maps gave me 2-3 cards, not worth it. Card cost 1alc-1c. Then i was trying to buy midnight with ele weakness corruption, they were selling on fly for 50+c. I gave up tring to buy it after i bought 6l shav's and being broke. One night i went online only to check my 8lvl masters inventory and i found this wand listed on poe.trade for 1c. I thought it was price fixing but guy sold me wand for 1c. I know, shame on me.

This build is also very good for mfing. With bisco neck on, iq gloves and boots even iq flask could be use.

edit:
new jewels

Has anyone tried to do Uber Atziri with this build? I want to do it but i don't want to waste a set without being sure. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
I did yesterday without problem.I melt it, no problem with Tuko and Wicker Man (3 Tuko 1 Wick).
