Cyclone's total number of attacks is the tooltip number x 2 right?

4 APS on the tooltip/character sheet actually means a total of 8 attacks per second. Each Cyclone "revolution" makes 2 attacks on the main hand for single weapon build, or 1 attack main-1 attack offhand when dual-wielding. I'm sure I've read that somewhere before


Yes but you need to drop arc and use another discharge support. It might be worth doing vs boss but its not worth for general mapping as arc does hell of a job for pack clearing.

Of course for Molten Strike you need a different approach because as I allready said its EE vs ~3 more procs.

For Molten Strike one can go Inquisitor to ignore resistances about 50% of the time and penetrate 20% of it other 50% of a time (similar to having EE).

This one here for example is unflasked, unRFed 115k Discharge DPU vs Shaper with 7-8 procs/s meaning it can reach near 1 mil Shaper DPS (however imo it will provide rather 600k on average):

Rico sorry if already covered, some guild members of mine are saying that increased discharge damage isn't best for helmet enchant and i should get the chance of reduced charges?

Less charges consumed means less life generated from Kingsguard. It's not about dps, it's about losing that instant life generation.

How's this doing in 3.5? I originally rolled lancing steel champion, and hated it once I got to maps. (low dmg and squishy)

My bread and butter has always been molten strike jug, but I don't want to roll that again.

Is this build tanky enough to clear all content, with good dps?

How about the new syndicate bosses?

Pretty fun to play?
What about inserting a self-cast Blade Vortex gem link somewhere in the gear?

Blood Magic - Spell Echo - Blade Vortex - Increased Duration

It would significantly increase the chance to gain max charges rolling and proc Elemental Overload from the moment you charge to the Boss right?

Max Blade Vortex before charging in (any boss), during the momentary pause between Atziri phases, while waiting inside Zana's bubble during the Shaper fight, while Izaro is coming out, etc..

Do you guys think it would be useful?

Edit/Add: It increases the chance to proc Inya's max Power charge since there are additional hits in-between proccing Mjolner's Discharge. It will also increase the chance to proc the Juggernaut's max Endurance charge since the more Vortex Blades, the more critical hit chance and resulting critical hits which will cause losing Power charges which will cause **gaining** Endurance charges from Voll's devotion

what aps should i go for on cyclone? Currently at 0.31 sec 3.2 char screen aps; these numbers actually half and double respectively because cyclone hits twice, right? So actually it's more like 0.155 sec attack time and ~6.4 aps? If so this is about optimal I guess.

I like things being automated for me so I use bv in cwdt link with ic and id. Its enough when on low lvl cwdt to have constant 6 stacks vs boss.

If u plan to drop arc than go for 2.9 aps at max without cdr belt and 3.48 at max with 20% cdr belt.

interesting. why 2.9? doesn't 150ms mean up to 6.66 procs per second? That's just 5.8 if im mathing correctly. Something netcode related perhaps such as with poet's pen? When i just use discharge i dont notice any hiccups at 3.2

my char is in proto state right now as I just hit maps after farming just some of the core items on my starter witch, pretty much just ctrl f'd boots for red/green in my stash so i had links for shield charge and missing most other items and links atm. didnt even replace belt since i swapped out infernal blow lol so it's not indicative of my endgame but if you think 2.9 is the target without the belt and just discharge though I'll try it out.
