I was loving the build... current lvl 88 now. But my FPS is suffering to maps above 6... Any tips? Im with a nvidia EVGA GTX670, its old i known...

" Hey, i play a ES based version with 3 curses. I already posted my first version on page 105 i think. After getting that watchers eye jewel, i made some changes to my first version. It works pretty well. But i play on standard with my pretty good legacy ES gear, that i got from my old whispering ice witch. You can see my current setup on my Standard Berserker. That jewel gives a huge ES boost (more than 2 k ES currently). Also some DPS since i run Anger to get full benefit from the jewel. Even with acutual ES gear it should be viable, but i think it will be much more expensive than the life based version of kelvynn. |

Been playing for 3 days now. So addicted I can't seem to find time to post updates to the guide :)
I sold that Ulaman BP and got me Kaom's plus some budget for future upgrades. Got new boots, ran the uber lab a few times, enchanted them. Uber Izaro is still a pushover, with old or new VP, doesn't matter. SC is awesome. I use it all the time, only swapped it a couple times for the boss fights. The Elder and his guardians down, in yellow tier for now, since it took me a while to figure out how to even spawn them. The guardians are all pushovers, but the one that spawns tons of Yugul balls is really annoying. Quicksilver flasks 4tw. Still, didn't die to any of them on the first meeting. The Elder fight seems totally stupid. A fixed duration portal phase that lasts like 3 minutes? And there is no way to make it go any faster? I killed all portals quickly, but it didn't seem to matter at all, they just kept respawning. And I totally didn't notice Zana appearing at the end. She was not even on my screen. She didn't say anything like she does in the Shaper fight ('To me, exile!'). So then the Elder died and I got insta-killed by something. WTF? Apparently I need to run to Zana before he dies. " CI Inquisitor with Incandescent Heart (Lord_Seru in my profile) was OK in 3.0, and nothing changed for him in 3.1. Just wasn't quite as powerful as the Berserker, so I decided to wait for the major Ascendancy changes in 3.2 to maybe revisit CI. " The 2 main reasons: 1. ES leech is capped at 20% and there is no way to leech more ES than that. This becomes a problem in the fights where you take constant damage. 2. Berserker deals 40% MORE damage (roughly equivalent to 1 extra dps gem) and leeches from Ascendancy (i.e. doesn't need the Life Leech gem). So that's basically 2 extra gems for Berserker. Going CI with Berserker I don't see viable at all. Cloaked in Savagery doesn't work with CI, and he doesn't have the Inquisitor regen/defenses. Last edited by Kelvynn on Jan 3, 2018, 6:24:53 PM

" Stygian belts don't have any super useful mods. 1 jewel socket is not really worth it. Cyclopean Coil is simply awesome, I wouldn't trade it for an inferior belt + 1 jewel. I've tried a 4-mod Abyss jewel: that's as good as they can get for Icestorm. And it was a slight downgrade in damage from this pretty modest 43 value jewel: So looks like those flat damage mods are not quite as good as the regular jewel mods. Other interesting mods such as 2% resist penetration if haven't killed recently and 20% inc damage if killed recently don't look very useful. 2% against top bosses is insignificant and trash already dies fast. " When he said that we can leech ES again, he meant taht new VP works with ES again, so it's 40% capped, same as life. But the problem is position in the tree, so... you character will be gimped in another way. |

Sometimes a boss does in fact drop an item that's an upgrade for you...
(in the interest of full disclosure, I did use a blessed orb to reroll the implicit from 37 to 39...) I have to say this build is perfect for handling the Elder fight. " It's an easy fight for WI, man. The only non-obvious thing to worry about is to head to Zana at the end and hide in her shield after the Elder's been killed. Go do it, you'll be fine. |
