New video: T16 (CI version)
After losing a couple more maps to the crashes, I finally was able to finish T16 by just never leaving the map. Screw that crash. I hope GGG fixes it soon. And I didn't even remember that there was a challenge to kill Hydra without getting hit by the balls, until I accidentally completed it :) Shaper is down on the 1st try too, but it wasn't perfect and I'm too tired to make another video anyway. Tomorrow perhaps. Last edited by Kelvynn#6607 on Jan 11, 2018, 4:25:04 AM

" " I believe I was thinking of the jewel affix ES gained on hit by ATTACKS, wich won't work with WI. Sorry to disappoint. edit: Starting to get really tired of farming reliquary. Can anybody actually confirm the astramentis card drops in there? By now I've lost faith... Tvätta dina händer i min stjärt Last edited by Zelvas#3701 on Jan 11, 2018, 2:20:37 PM

Hmm... It doesn't look like the ES gain on hit on
works the way everybody here expected it to work, at least with Icestorm. It definitely does work, you can go to Act 10, stand in a pack of mobs and watch your ES restored when CWDT procs BL. You can see the 30 ES chunks getting added. BUT. Cast Icestorm, and that incremental effect disappears. All you see is the regular non-instant leech. I went and did some more high tier maps without this jewel, and I don't see any difference whatsoever! Even on T16 bosses. I also tried to stand in the Shaper's beam with this jewel and it didn't help at all - my ES was going down gradually at the same speed as without it. So that answers that question: no, still can't stand in the beam after the VP nerf. It looks like this ES gain on hit effect is either: a) capped similarly to leech; b) counts towards the leech cap; c) gets overridden by the leech; d) counts only 1 hit per spell cast per target. So that's probably why there is no hugely OP meta going on based on this jewel. If it could really add 4800 ES/sec on top of the VP leech, that would have been insane. But apparently it doesn't work that way. Oh well... Last edited by Kelvynn#6607 on Jan 11, 2018, 5:20:21 PM

Wondering if it is just better to replace it with another jewel at this point.
Also wondering, now that we don't use MOM, if it is worth it to partially link our staff and link a couple support gems to a high level scorching ray for some extra oomph against bosses. FWIW I'm really enjoying the CI version. Seems much less squishy in maps. I also spam a granite and basalt flask that helps a lot. |

" That's the only reasonable explanation. I haven't tested the jewel myself but the jewel reads; "30 Energy Shield Gained for each enemy hit" So your example of standing still in ruined square with CWDT is explained like this to my understanding. You have 30 mobs. You hit all 30 mobs with ball lightning X times. you gain 30*30 (900) ES. Now let's do the same example with icestorm. You have 30 mobs. You hit all 30 mobs with icestorm X times. you gain 30*30 (900) ES. Without testing the jewel myself it feels as if it would suffer from a recently tag (the 4 second cooldown thing) or similar. This is further confirmed with your test on the Shaper. " You have 1 mob. You hit 1 mob with icestorm X times. You gain 30*1 (30) ES. vvvvvvDon't take any of this seriously LOLvvvvvv What goes through my mind is Vaal breach or worm flask(s) could be fun to try with this. But all end-game bosses arenas are very small which don't give much room for breach mobs to spawn. This leaves us with worm flask and going into Shaper or Uber with 5 worm flasks ((2*2)*5 (20)) would net us 600 ES excluding Atziri herself. Tvätta dina händer i min stjärt

" I replaced it with a regular jewel and it got me over the 1700 Int margin, so I got 0.22s extra Icestorm duration in addition to all the DPS from the jewel. And after running even more maps I'm completely sure that the Watcher's Eye wasn't doing much for this build. Everything looks exactly the same with or without it. |

Just want to say two things:
1. I am still very happy with the build. and 2. I am looking forward to the Elementalist build that is to come, just because I am sick of playing Marauder. Witch was the first class I ever tried, and I want to go back to using her again. |

love CI version of this build, its my 3rd league in a row with WI, keep up a good job!
ps.1 for what we need ancestral call with vigilant strike? ps.2 tried HotG today, instance and game crashed on a guy with insta ES regen (didnt notice who he was), lvl 1 SR + SC |
