[3.0] Wand’s Guide to Wanding – Comprehensive Overview of Wanders
" Just keep moving until you have an opening. Most bosses have a specific way of moving or a mechanic that leaves them vulnerable for you to attack while standing still for a bit. For example, the T13 Gorge map boss jumps around four times then kneels down for a few seconds; use this time to blow all your flasks and burn him down. Or some bosses never stop moving but they do have weak non-special attacks. Their auto-attack is pretty weak and can be facetanked while you pop flasks and burn them down.
How do you guys deal with mana leech not catching up in time on slacker mobs using KB and the leech doesn't keep up with attack speed?
I love pie.
| |
" Skip slacker mobs. Stopping to fight 1 random slacker mob is a huge waste of time compared to the countless packs of mobs that you'll run into if you just keep moving forward.
" 2013 beta player here, old habits die hard...lol I love pie.

" Same here. We're only about a month apart. Getting used to the speed running mentality will greatly streamline your farming runs. Just gotta keep in mind that the chance of that 1 slacker mob dropping anything useful is pretty much like 0.01%. Moving forward has a greater chance of yielding valuable drops.
how do i actually generate frenzy charges?
i know that power charges comes from orb of storm, but what about frenzy and endurance?
" Tempest's Binding will give you frenzy charges while mapping, or add Ice Bite to HoI setup, keep in mind Pathfinders* can't sustain frenzy on bosses. Last edited by Phosphenez on Sep 28, 2017, 2:40:01 PM

" Scion can sustain frenzy charges if you go Raider/Elementalist, which is the best option. IGN: Desreien / Wand / Science

I'm currently leveling the Raider version of this build, but I'm having difficulty understanding where most of the damage comes from. I'm sitting at around 13-14k KB tooltip DPS in hideout, and around 8k Barrage tooltip DPS in hideout.
I know I'm missing part of the wand wheel, the 7th and 8th ascendancy point, better flasks and better gear - but would like to understand what order I should be prioritizing doing all these things, especially around getting better boss DPS. (Just started playing recently, so I don't have much of agrasp over what really drives damage for builds which scale very well with currency.) The character is Horojo under my profile. |
