Seriously, calm down.

Personally, I liked the 'stat stick' setup when stat sticks were things like Death's Hand, Prismatic Eclipse, etc. They were, IMO, reasonably balanced and, importantly interesting options (before the advent of OP stat-sticks.)

The problem was the Shaper stat sticks with multiple X% of Physical Damage gained as extra Cold/Fire/etc - these were far stronger than any other option, to the degree that at end game, there were no other realistic options. I agree that this situation needed to be addressed. However, I don't like the way it was addressed because it removes the option of those reasonable stat-sticks. As far as I can see this means a dozen or more unique 1H weapons (I'm including levelling stat-sticks) will have no use in the game come patch 3.5, which is a shame.

Melee is not dead, however, it has fewer options now.

Yes, of course, it lessens the damage. No, it doesn't make any difference where gems are socketed.
And I DON'T like this changes. GGG making people play only that style that they want to.

A fiew years ago there was a Detonate Dead skill only that used corpse mechanics, noone used it. Now we have DD, Cremation, Unearch and Boduswap, and still noone interesting.

A fiew years ago there was Trap/Mine support gems. Now GGG making people to use it adding Bear Trap, Explosive Trap, Fire Trap, Flamethrower Trap, Freeze Mine, Ice Trap, Seismic Trap, Fire Nova Mine, Lightning Spire Trap, Lightning Trap, Siphoning Trap - Is there a real reason to have all these independent gems? Can't it be reworked as active skill + Trap support skill? Nooo, GGG wants people to play trappers.

Before ascendary league there was just a fiew short-time effects, now each class have "recently" mechanics. I don't like that the power of my character is depend in kill streak, i'd prefer to use constant effects. But I have to use it because of huge profit.

Now the banners. I don't like that mechanics, I didn't planned to use it, but GGG making me to go this whay. Probably, the banner's dps gonna be much much more so everyone will have to use it.
I hate the tier 16 zana mod. It cost only 15c which lowered the price of Guardian map and its fragment too. it's like a half profit compare to Incursion and before while farming t16 guardian

Damn you. I wasn't excited for Betrayal at all, perhaps because I loved delves and played too much, but your post+sig managed to ruin my comfy lethargy and got me so curious... I can't wait to find out more about both.


Don't read into it too much, Iangyratu. I tend to like things a lot of players don't. Betrayal is the most 'alive' and dynamic league to date, as is fairly clear from the board-game style mechanics where your decisions each encounter changes the game going forward. I really love that shit.

And maybe the aesthetic improvements that blew my mind won't be that big a deal to some of you. YMMV and all that.



Sorry to jumping into your conversation guys, but I just wanted to say that I also find Betrayal to be one of the best, if not the best league so far.
Removal of the boring and annoying masters and their missions and instead, adding all the best content I enjoyed (maybe except the pokemon league) as master missions is glorious. The rest of amazing league mechanics available as Zana mods. (Totally loving the fact that I can do Perandus, Abyss and Breach whenever I feel like it.)
Not to mention the love for cold spells, Cold casting Occultist, here I come!
