Weapon type: Whips

I suggested this for DIII as well. I think the concept would make POE pretty unique for a MMO or F2P MMO.

I figure the "base" whip would come with a knockback modifier (as all whips should have) and come available in different materials.

Leather of course, then exotic materials like "palladium" & "silver". There could even be whips that were created from arcane energies and some that could be made of lightning and fire or ice.

These elemental materials could imbue the whips with the appropriate elemental damage modifiers. They could even be dual-wielded!

Anyhow, that's my idea for a sadistically sexy weapon.

Make whips have +minion modifiers. Whip your minions for buffs!

LoL I totally laughed at the title and idea of this post. However the author seems to be on to some ideas with the materials and what not. I applaud you for the visuals it gave me.

On a serious note...the minion buff fits the weapon perfectly and I would love to see this added. +1.

Why use a whip when a gun works better! (Indy style)

Why use a whip when you can just stab someone with a long sword.

I like this idea. Whips would be cool. How about also adding:

- Dart Gun

- Crossbow (Haven't seen one yet)

- One of those circular/star shaped blade thingos. =)

- Flail

- Throwing Knives

- Power Gloves

And more that I cannot think of right now hehe.

Whip could be cool, and you could even make a class based off of them or skill trees for it. The problem I imagine would be creating a whole new attack animation and attack graphic.

But it definitely would be fun to be a whipmaster!
