[New Support Gem] Armour Penetration

the whole point of an axe was that it carried enough weight on a smaller area then a sword and cleaved right through the armor

this is where the word cleave originates from like cleaving wood the war axe had similar purpuse it was however heavy and hard to handle

a sword well balanced had many benefits that an average man could use however for the stronger people that where muscle head the axe was perfect required litle thinking

for the same reason maces and spiked flails where developed when armor's became heavier and heavier where swords simply could no longer do the job with the english longbow and development of guns and rapiers that were very fast and people in general not really working out as much thus becoming unfit to wield said heavy weapons the demand become low and as such the midle ages were over

back to the point it makes sense that specific weapons have an ability to penetrate armor

with swords i feel it should be a matter of accuracy
axes/hammers a matter of strength
A small blade does just as much damage as a large one when puncturing. Although the longer blade does offer a bit of range, the smaller blade is quicker and much less clumsy up close.
Swords were just the phallic symbols of the day. True warriors knew that the short sword had the best of both worlds.

Scrotie another marvel of a sugestion +1 from me, but if i may propose an alturation of ure gem to fit its purpose more.

I would add a cumulative effect of armor penetration up to 5 stacks( like we gain frenzy charges ore like viper strike aplie's) a visible indication the enemy's armor has deteriorated. U would have to lower the % a whole lot because u would have to stack it. otherwise the heavy hitters wil get another bonus i think, and even ranged (wich i am fine with, but i dont know if its in the game best intrest) i feel the heavy hitters should stil be able to do heavy hitting and crushing armor, but a skilled dueller would take his time wearing out his foe. Hope this makes sense to u, and maybe u can interpret my changes and see if they fit ure reasoning for this gem.

Great job on the graphics! I agree with the idea behind this gem, but also agree with another poster who believes it should be 4-5 stack debuff. This would favor the faster attack speed builds and make it less grossly overpowered for two hand users. They already ignore more armour as it is, making it larger would make DW/1h shield useless in comparison.(though it already kind of is)

Would add a niche for high attack speed users as they would have better armour penetration.

This skill should be pure str. Got problems with high armour target as archers? Stop using LMP/GMP and BAM, 50% more damage on single target.
