To be honest, a 6l would be great if you have an empower that gives atleast +2 levels to all the gems. A femurs is straight up an empower for just your minion gems. Once i get the mace with maim incorporated in it, and 6 links i'll be running it, since the damage it adds isn't that much compared to the other gems and our minions got alot more life this league. i'd try to go for a 5L femur if you can, +2 minion gems are big.
