Cyclone CWC Blade Vortex ((About 20mill+ Shaper dps with everything up)
" Sounds good. I think the good thing about this build is also the ease at which new players can kill bosses. You just need to get next to a boss for a second or so and they will die even if you die as the poison will do the work even if you're dead. So new players can finish all non-phased bosses without too much trouble and just a few deaths. |

" It has 4.4k hp (can probably get to 5k hp with jewels and rare boots whilst keeping similar dps) and 2k ES MoM. Sustain during mapping is very good but you rely on killing bosses before they can do much. Any non-phased boss doesn't get a chance to get off two attacks. So it's safe for non-phased bosses. So what I've been doing is swapping my red maps which have phased boss fights for non-phased boss fights. Seems like nobody likes to do T12 Cemetery boss (Gruthkul) so I've been getting a lot of those as swaps. Ran at least 10 of those so far and that boss has never finished a single attack animation. |

I would not play this in HC.

" There's a lot of random stuff that can kill. I didn't die at all at lvl92 because the build was almost done and I was also done unlocking the Atlas up to T15. So wasn't running 8 modded added damage, extra proj, chaining, -max, crit/crit multi, no regen maps anymore. Died once now at lvl93 to some random fireballs due in a T13 map. It was those spiders I think that shoot fireballs in a blight. For some reason they all shot at the same time directly at me like a machine gun and I was dead in half a second, went through 4400hps and 2000ES MoM and Steelskin buff. The map didn't even have damage mods. Caught me by surprise as nothing had done that much damage to me for a while. I was also busy making towers half-way the other side of the screen so they shouldn't have been targeting me. Only explanation is they must have all been targeting my Stone Golem and I was just in line of sight. It's also why I don't make minion towers anymore as they will eventually get you killed in high maps. The blight spawns attack the minions and you might just be passing by to kill them at the time when they're all attacking so you take a bunch more damage that you otherwise wouldn't have. |
|
Yeah I took your advice and just started doing Temporal Towers and anointed both my rings with the buff. Still die at times those fire bastards who either aim at the Golem or something else.
Also I still can get in trouble and flatout die because of MoM. Haven't really solved that issue yet. I'll get more ES to cover that but that is my main reason for death so far. |

Get the 120es regen mod on belt and/or body armor. Ever since I got that I haven't had sustain issues.
I've even gone and put Withering Step on my left-click now because with 2k ES and 240es regen per second when a rare or unique mob is nearby (which is almost always), ES is always quite full. So I hold down right-click and left-click throughout a map and have one less button to press. |

All the people hating on this build but I've cleared all guardians, shaper and just finished Aul with this build. First time attempt at it and one shot it. The damage is insane when you ramp it. My gear is sub optimal for damage and I'm even on a 5 link.
I have to say the survivability for the build seems a bit under par but with the es regen mods feels a load better. I really think people hating the build either haven't tried putting currency into it or just hate on it because of the big numbers without even trying the build. |

" Thanks man. I think the build is also not really expensive for what it can do. The only items that weren't less than 50c for me were the amulet, belt and chest piece. 6Ling the chest piece cost more than the rest of the items put together. The amulet and belt cost just over an exalt each and the chest piece cost 100c before 6Ling. I got the corrupted weapons and corrupted gloves for cheap (15c, 20c and 60c). These will vary in price as people realize the use of the items but there are so many of the weapons and gloves around that there is steady inflow of corrupted ones to keep the price down. I also initially needed dex on a ring to wear Cospri's Will but don't need it anymore. So getting resists would be a lot easier with an extra suffix on a ring to play with and I could have then spent less on the belt. |

So I've done a bit more min-maxing.
- Enhance lvl4 is very useful on Despair as each 1% quality gives 0.5% increased chaos damage take which is a massive dps boost. Enhance lvl4 gives 24% quality which is an additional 12% more multiplier. (bosses will resist this a bit but it's still worth it). This is also why Blasphemy + Despair is a lot better than Witchfire Brew as the flask has no quality on the curse. 44% quality gives an extra 22% increased chaos damage taken compared to the flask curse. - Hunter's Gambit is the highest real dps node on the tree for poison. It's got "10% damage over time multiplier" as well as "poisons deal damage 10% faster". So whilst PoB dps is slightly lower than with Toxic Strikes, the actual damage dealt per poison per second is 10% higher. So bosses get one-shot 10% faster as nothing survives long enough for a poison to wear off. Final setup for now: Non-shaper dps on 10 stack Blade Vortex now goes over 50mill with my current setup. Of course nothing lasts the 10 seconds to be able to hit that but the ramp up is quick. The totems get to almost 10mill each. I've also not been counting Vaal Blade Vortex in the dps numbers. If you throw that out on a boss you can quadruple the dps numbers as Vaal Blade Vortex has triple the base damage of Blade Vortex and hits at the same rate as 10 stacks of BV. They're also both lvl27. Edit: Also related, swapping Unbound Ailments with Swift Affliction would also be more burst damage and less ramp up time but overall lower dps after full ramp up. However since we never reach full ramp up Swift Affliction should be better for real world damage. It will boost the damage by 9% unless something lasts longer than 8 seconds. Big problem though is getting 5 green sockets on an ES chest so it's probably not worth the effort to try. Last edited by SaiyanZ#3112 on Sep 25, 2019, 4:50:43 PM

Digging in a bit more, Hunter's Gambit was worth getting on the tree for 4 skill points even though the 3 points leading up to it do nothing. It's a 10% multiplier after everything so it's worth it.
The only other node on the tree with "poisons deal damage faster" is Swift Venom so I took that. With these two nodes the build has essentially added another 15% more damage and the ramp up to max damage is 15% faster. Also respecced out of Perfect Agonay as will rely on the flask and took the life nodes on the right hand side of tree. So HP is still the same with the tweak. Updated PoB: https://pastebin.com/CwxV5ZLK Also now have the PoB update that includes anointed nodes. So vs non-shaper targets: - 10 stack BV with 53.8m dps - Vaal BV with 32.2m dps - Shockwave totems with 10m dps each. Think this is the most efficient tree whilst getting all the juicy nodes and decent life. Probably can improve the life with a couple of good jewels but ones with dps as well will be expensive.
