I don't like to be rude, but sometimes ... it's like wtf do I write a guide for if a dude is going to claim the build sucks because he didn't actually read the guide he claims to follow ... i mean, he must've also missed the part where no balance changes took place in 3.18 and not realized what this build has been doing the past 10+ leagues... then calling it NOT an end-game build o.O .... ok then lol, so i guess also all my videos in the guide are clearly fake material! ;D ... Closed beta tester my ass man, 10 years of PoE and learned nothing. I try to not play the same build twice since the game has too much to offer and yet still I find myself in this thread and with the thought of starting LT Sabo every league since I played it (twice by the way, as once was not enough to fully appreciate it), that's how wholesome and powerful this build is and funnily it has gotten even stronger in the last patches. If u can't make this onr work u probably also struggle with Necro DD and Seismic trap. 😉
im one of those played since beta cant learn to be good at the game, life base lt many leagues ago was best ive done (lvl 94 killed a red elder) so decided to try it out again and been going decent enough, just bought some new stuff today try switching low life and enjoying myself with it, guide is good

I started 3 days late and stuff is practically free wtf ;D

12c shavs (can 5L in harvest if my fusings fail), 22c blessing of chayula, 1c amulet (so 23c total for our amulet)!

.... i'm literally able to walk from act 10 and into early reds if i wanted to lol, i got 5k ES in act 10 haha and that's just having spent the 40c'ish total i've gathered doing league mechanic in act 1-10 😄
2c lvl 21 lightning trap, 1c rainbowstride boots and 1 alch bated breath belt and 1c for each ring with 40int+ and 40es + 1 ress or attribute. Wise oak 1c.

I even picked up a 5c ilvl 86 shaper harmonic shield and rolled alterations on it ... for a starter shield with es% recovery on-block, that i normally only start making around lvl 85++




it's piss-poor ES, but.. for starting white maps its fine. I'll re-craft it anyway in the first lvl 76+ harvests i find. :)

I died twice on my act 1-10 run... but they were both AFK deaths!!! grrr ;P literally me going AFK to answer my phone or drink something and like whoops, i was gib'd while looking the other way lol

I disagree with the previous comments as well btw, I never had such a smooth leveling experience as I did with your build despite having the lowest ammount of life during leveling, I had the least ammounts of death (0).

I started with RF this league but it's not really my style I feel so I think I want to do battletrapper again.

But due to the noticeable increase in damage from mobs etc I was wondering, how early is it reasonable to become block capped with this build?
So far I really like the build. I enjoy trapper builds all together. However, I'm running into a few issues with survivability at or around t12+ maps. I get 1-2 shotted pretty easily. Not all of the time, just enough to where I get a little standoffish when attempting to progress higher maps or use Sentinels, etc. Hopefully it's just a skill problem. If you could find some time to go over my setup I would appreciate any feedback.

Your char is set to private, you have to set it to public for people to see and help you ^^

However I could venture a theory I have, seeing as this league is way rippier than previous leagues, I could see red maps being where getting max block is very helpful.
If you already are max-block then I don't really know

- ele weakness curse immunity ( watcher eye purity of elements bufF)

- 300 es on block (4% recover from shield)
- 7600 es

Sirus,MAven, Elder,Uber elder down (1 hand gamestyle, easy)

Still cant kil uber sirus (kinda hard)
Cant farm simu till 30/30 (retarded archnemesis mods, mana drain oh my god)
I usually farm T16 60% deli 100%Q+ maps with sentinels
Not sure If I can farm simu even with +3 gems shavrone.

You can make the trap cost 0 mana, if you want, although I kinda hope/think GGG will rather do something about that very silly archnem drain mod.
Replace your trap and mine, with anomalous trap and mine (10c) and craft your rings with non-channel cost XY less mana.
There's also other ways, like an expensive divergent inspiration support etc.

Although GGG promoted 3.18 as "no balance changes!" they kinda' made some of the biggest ones by introducing so many super broken arch-nem mods ;D

Farming wave30 should be extremely difficult, I did it last league and made a video on it, but it IS a very expensive goal to have, for any build that wants to reliably complete wave 30. With the arch-nem mods, idk if it's feasible in the same gear that I used.

Damage-wise though, we should have plenty plenty, as I was overkilling stuff in literal seconds last league, so even if they doubled or tripled the boss HP.

Btw, nice gear ;) bur, the weapon? i'd really want to have some %dmg (spell% or lightning%) -- since that stat gets boosted by the 30% more multiplier - pain attunement, so it's a big deal having a chunk of that on the weapon.

At the base, counting rumi's being active, you should have around 49% att block and 60+ spellblock (and 75/75 in min-max tree/glancing)
Titanium shield = 25, +5 bench craft, +7 (if you pick shield mastery extra block, rather than extra multiplier) and rumi's +12 = 49%.
You can get a little extra from clusters/jewels, but the videos I made standing inside monster packs AFK last league, was just with 50% att-block and 60% spellB.

Remember, having decent offense also helps weaken/clear everything, even off-screen due to the nature of lightning trap going everywhere. Your weapon is very subpar with only 2 stats effectively doing anything. (lightning to spells and 64 spelldmg)

a 10c anomalous trap&mine and/OR ring crafts with non-channel costing less mana, should be plenty to never need a mana flask and replace it with a quartz so you're running through mob packs while laying your traps. (remember inspiration supp, is the 5th, added lightning is 6th)

I would also grab a shavs with much more ES (shav is so cheap atm), it does make a big difference for your ES pool whenever you gain 50-60 ES on a single item (thats like 140-200 more ES in your pool)
Qualilty w/tempering catalyst on your amu will also add another 220 ES to your pool and then eventually getting a 300es+ shield will add about 1000+ more ES---- when you combine these things, thats when the 5% recovery really starts making a big difference (like when i'm recorded AFK inside mob packs)
