What do you think about Deadeye ascendancy? Richochet, far shot, gathering winds and 1 something else.

" Kinda bummed. Nerfs: - We lose 20% mana reservation reduction of Mines from Pyromaniac, which will almost double our mana regen requirement. Might make gearing up for Chainbreaker extremely difficult. Probably will need to take the 5% res reduction nodes in the Volatile Mines cluster now. - We lose 8% reduced incoming AoE damage from Explosives Expert. - We lose a total of 70% increased Damage between Bomb Specialist and Born in the Shadows (40% if Detonated Recently, 30% vs Blinded Enemies) Buffs: - 10% increased Crit Multi from Explosives Expert (30->40) - 5% Mine Throwing Speed and Detonation Speed from Explosives Expert. Overall, a small nerf. Likely in the 4-5% range. The biggest pain point is the loss of the Mana Reservation Reduction. Everything else is just numbers. Patch notes will tell more though. " Deadeye is still an option, even more so after the Sab nerf. Explosives Expert is still an insane DPS boost which is hard to make up for. But tailwind is on par (and better than, with good gear) the throwing speed from Bomb Specialist. The biggest losses are from the free blind (Very nice defense) and the Regen. You'll pretty much have to run the Mine Leech gloves if you go Deadeye. Whether or not Deadeye is better than Sab, DPS wise, depends on how Far Shot Scales and interacts with Point Blank. Otherwise, the chain is meh. We have plenty of clear. I would do Far Shot/Gathering Winds/Wind Ward/Whatever (Mark or +2 Proj) |

Slayer works as an ascendancy now that you can get 4 useful notables (when using leech gloves).
The base crit is great for Doomfletch and with Masterful Form frenzy stacking becomes great defense as well as offense. Once the tree changes take effect I'll path to Overleech skipping Endless Hunger, I just have it allocated since it is an empty node for the PoB numbers anyway.
Deadeye will definitely feel the best to boss on because of barrage synergy, especially whenever missed barrage projectiles chain back from the terrain. Though with my recent lagspikes, i prefer slayer's buffed double duration overleech and endurance charges that give me a 10s buffer of survivablility. Really looking at the new Deadeye now, since both mines and detonate mines are skills, you pretty much have max Gale Force at all times, which is pretty insane defense. What do you think of Tornado shot mines with Deadeye?, as the extra projectile = more dmg, and take advantage of farshot better.

hey guys found this while searching for a new build for 3.13 and it looks pretty interesting!
I'm also interested in maybe trying deadeye instead of sab and was wondering if maven's arena has walls? would taking ricochet be good? also does tailwind affect mine throwing speed? I'm wondering why you would take gathering wind. also is cold the highest dps? since the bow adds all elements, does it matter? i saw on the gloves it converts to cold, so im wondering if wise oak needs to be balanced for cold.
