[3.13] Doomfletch Split Arrow Mines - Starter Viable - End Game Capable - High Damage, Low Budget

Hi! Dear blaydex15 will you be making changes to the build in 3.13 ? When can we see them?

1) would taking ricochet be good?
2) also does tailwind affect mine throwing speed? I'm wondering why you would take gathering wind.
3) also is cold the highest dps? since the bow adds all elements, does it matter? i saw on the gloves it converts to cold, so im wondering if wise oak needs to be balanced for cold.

1. Good for clearing, but I think it needn't. Focal point is better: use Assasin's mark or Sniper's mark and your damage will be 15% more (than without Focal point) and 25% LESS damage taken near marked enemy.
2. Tailwind = more action speed. Action is is very good =) https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Action_speed
Maximum Gale force gives us -16.7% mine throwing time and +31% movement speed. Also maximum gale force gives -30% less damage taken (non permanent, but very good).
3. Split arrow deal X phys damage. Because of Doomfletch's prism we also deal X fire, X cold and X ligntning damage. More convert phys to cold give us more safety (chill'n'freeze). If you'll balace resists for Wise oak - it'll be great.

thanks for the reply/info
i tried to pob the changes to deadeye but the damage falls off quiet a bit. not sure if something needs to be optimized in pob to accurately reflect the changes, but i'll most likely start sab and swap over if needed. funny thing when you take farshot in pob, the damage falls off a lot, i guess its not taking pointblank into consideration?

Go "Configuration - Projectile travel distance" and set 70.

"Point Blank and Far Shot are multiplied together".
distance 0 = 1.3 * 0.8 = 1.04
distance 70 = 0.908 * 1.6 = 1.45
-------------------------------
My calculation with the best equipment at ~93 lvl:
- Deadeye - from 1,4kk to 2,7kk per second in solo boss, depending on distance (0 - 70+) and Point blank on/off. 30% less damage beacuse of Gale force.
- Saboteur - 2,6kk per second in solo boss (distance 0 - 10). 10% HP regen, Blind, 10% reduced damage.

Hm, now I think that saboteur is better)

So I am currently out of town for work, might not be able to get the OP up to date, however, I'll throw a TL;DR in the main post.

For those curious, the build hasn't changed at all. You can follow the 3.12 version of the guide to the T, aside from the mana regen requirements for chainbreaker.

Considering that is fairly end-game, I should have time to update that section before people get there.

I think im gonna give this build a try instead my traditional Essence Drain starter, but im worried about 10 boss fight survivability. Do you think it will be good enough to do it?
So I used the prophecy to upgrade my Doomfletch to Prism

but my character profile and split arrow tooltip doesn't list the fire/cold/lightning damage. Is that how it normally is or is it bugged?

That's completely normal. The extra damage from Doomfletch never displays on the in game tool tip.
What do you think of the new Trinity support gem, it should work with Doomfletch, right? Is it a good option for single Target?

The gem description states it cannot support skills used by mines: https://poedb.tw/us/Trinity_Support
