Multistrike kills Double Strike
" With the new mechanics of LoH, I don't think this will be a good idea. Biggest flaw I've seen in most threads regarding these new skills (also when cyclone was released): Ppl do not seem to be taking into account the "cost" of these skills: i.e. the reduced damage you will suffer for enjoying these new beauties. I expect a cost similar to chain for multi, and at least 30% for splash. If players start to consider the -% damage these supports will cause, then (like the alpha players) and only then will they understand what possibilities exist. imho, I could be wrong. |

If you can indeed use multistrike + double strike to attack six times, I imagine it would be pretty cool to use this combo with something like this:

" I'd imagine the crit would work like how double strike usually works and only rolls the die when you attack and not for each strike. So if you crit, you crit 6 times. But if that's what you meant, then just ignore this. IGN: FireFlameSputter (Hardcore) Defunctive (Default)

" well ofc, but if the cost is ignored (i use blood magic whit allot of health regen %, i heal over 130 a second standing still) its a really nice skill... i also have 6% life steal im at that point whit attackspeed that i earn allot more from health per hit. (+200% on my cyclone) so no, cost is neglected in my case, if cost 200 hp it, MIGHT, make a difference. " LoH is as good as usual on skills such as Double Strike, Dual Strike and even better on Heavy Strike. LoH is just lowered by Skills that have lower Damage Effectiveness, such as Cyclone etc Alexis

Nivius you didn't understand my post, I was not referring to the mana cost of the supports (though that is important too).
I was referring to how LoH is now based on the damage efficiency of the skill and it's supports |

" Yea so hitting 6 times with one "triple double strike" would give .7*6 = 4.2*loh... then of course you can splash too. Then again heavy strike with multi would technically be more loh... 1.5*3 = 4.5*loh. I know it seems crazy, but I'm actually toying with the idea of using Vaal Pact with doublestrike+multistrike. With sufficient attack speed, it really might work. We will soon see.

" The best bet is that Multistrike is structured similar to Lesser Multiple Projectiles, which also triples your attacks (but for ranged, not melee). So expect 150% cost multiplier and 70% damage effectiveness; which would in turn lower your life on hit, right? When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero.
