Considering the changes to using both Herald of Agony and Herald of Purity, would a cluster jewel for Herald damage be beneficial?

FOR THE SPARK SPIDER MTX, HOLD OFF ON USING UNFORTUNATELY

so i did some testing, took two accounts and sat in a duel, WITHOUT the MTX, i was getting 4-5 hits consistently with tornado, WITH the MTX, i was getting 3-4 hits, so it seems we are missing out on a whole extra hit on each tornado with the MTX. I judged it by taking high hp jugg with no avoidance/block, and just simply counting the poison stack for every proc(took off all the reduced duration etc so only 1 proc every 3 seconds).

I posted in the bug report section, hopefully they will get this fixed asap, but being this a niche build with limited players using the MTX as well, not expecting it to get fixed that soon =\ If u want to help draw attention to it, here is the forum post

I've been enjoying the build so far. I just have a question about gear progression. Currently sitting with these items:



I was just wondering what you feel should be my next upgrade first. Should I try to get a 4/5/6 link on my staff first so I can socket gems in there or should I try to get more reduced % on rings first?

I will probably hold off on trying to get more - on my gloves and boots for the time being until I can get a lot more currency...

id get those 10% rings first things, after that, belt is another decent choice, or a corrupted kaoms, 3 notable large cluster, better jewels

Ah thanks for the suggestions! So getting the links + gems for the staff will probably be the last thing I upgrade. Getting the right colours and stuff for the staff is the hardest part for me

I have question about jewel. What jewel should we use if all res is 75+, common jewel with % crit multi/chaos/phy or abyss jewel? The staff provides good flat dmg, so i think common jwl with crit multi/dot multi is better than abyss. Is it right?

as far as plain damage, Flat phys to spells, is the best you can get, abyss has two of these, phys to spells with 2h, and phys to spells,

For the resist jewels i prefer to get non abyss due to the fact i can get some % life on them. So i prefer a jewel with All resists, a dual resist, Max life %, and some sort of dmg mod (global phys dmg, chaos dmg)

For damage jewels(assuming you have extra jewel slots, going abyss with flat phys to spells, flat phys to spells while wielding 2h weapon, and flat life, i found to be the best combination, chaos with chaos multi non abyss is pretty decent as well

thanks, btw, i am playing with cyclone on my chest with fortify + infused channeling + blood magic + life gain on hit. It's pretty fun and more tanky.

As for a bit of theory-crafting, do you think it would be possible to play as a separate class / ascendancy in 3.13? Chieftain and Scion was mentioned in 3.12 (not sure if still explicitly viable since that section of the build didn't look updated from last league), but anyone else maybe? ranger/pathfinder? just wondering. Assassin seems like the most tailored for this particular build (especially the poisons), but trying to add to the lesser represented pools of characters ;)

note on spider mtx travel distance, maybe it's a compromise on using unbound ailments and not having to swap to increased duration - lol
