Im sure there are others who feel the same, me i wont reward bad behavior soo GGG loses money on it regardless now. Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

This threads essence will be relevant as long GGG's servers kill themself on day one for multiple hours to one day after league start.
Twitch views on day one are very imporant and any measures to prevent looking at the queue for hours will be taken into account. In an optimal world ,that is likely wishful thinking, streamers would wait as long as the ordinary folks but that is not going to happen. But maybe we are surprised the next time ;) Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

" Leaving shenanigans out of this, I think it would be a win-win to take a 4 option vote with results that come in 41/39/10/10 and choose to make both finishers 1 and 2. There's clearly a demand for 2 in that case, and you'd be providing service to almost as many people as in group 1. Group 1 isn't harmed by 2 also getting their favorite and the company makes almost twice as much money. |

Any response to a tilted election that isn't "this is the winner, yay" implies compromise, and not the good kind. Smart money plans for this and has seemingly good "also ran" rewards from the start, but this wasn't that.
That said I don't consider election swarming "streamer privilege". It's just an inevitable result in a situation that encourages it, that turns beacons into bug zappers. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
