0.9.9c Patch Notes

Great patch, fast turn around.
FINALLY a skill for Twilight Strand. Thank god, or Chris for that matter.

awsome work guys!
I played the starter beach this AM; I really liked being given the skill gem at the beginning. At least for a Marauder the difficulty seems at good level for the first beach.

Zoom is definately fun.

Last night I took my ranger to her and she cold snapped me 4x in what felt like 2 seconds to near dead, before I even got in her room. I didn't have much frost resist, but when I went to check the vendor there was only 1 ring for sale, for an alchemy orb.

Sell one ring plus a blue gem for a frost resist one.
No food in fridge... Beer it is.

you are doing a good job.
[Removed by Support] - don't mention the chinese ownership of this game!

New players will know that how? Anyways, so you get 25% resist and it doesn't really change anything.

The game is very poorly tuned right now for Act 1 normal. I don't think it will be showcasing PoE in the best light for open weekend.

Love the new monster AI though.
Still seeing an issue with the Armor section of the item data on the website that I mentioned in another thread...

Glorious Plate is being listed as higher level requirement, yet less armor rating, than Gladiator Plate. I think there are other instances of this seemingly discontinuity with item progression, but this is the one example I took the time to list.

Level Req Armor
Glorious Plate 68 390
Gladiator Plate 65 413
Rather than let the first zombie drop a gem, why not just make it a legacy from that dying NPC?
Say he mentions to have a gem for you which he believe to be precious, but before he can give it to you the talk is stopped by that zombie and only after checking his dead body you would get what he means.
Just wanted to say I really enjoy the increased selection of skill gems at the early levels. However I have noticed one glaring problem with this patch.

While rolling a new character I noticed that the map twilight strand had very few monsters in it, much less then normal. Normally you can ding level 2 before Hillock while skipping mobs. In this instance I killed every mob, circled the map to double check for new mobs and I was still level 1. I did this because I ran out of flash charges while fighting hillock and needed the ding to refill my hp / flasks.

Also keep in mind that with low amount of monsters my weapon selection was limited too. I had zero wands or bows drop for me so kiting hillock was not an option. In fact the only weapon to drop was a single 1handed club.

-edit-
in before people just call "noob". I understand I mismanaged my flasks but you need to understand that situations like this will only push away potential new players.
