Game Balance in Path of Exile: Expedition

Damage and Speed is the most common solution for POE (due to 1-shotting problem, and total dps from massive mobs packs) for most players for sometimes now. Time for a change.

Hope POE already dealt with those problems.

Longer time mobs staying alive = players getting more dps from mobs over time.

100% agreed. I was hoping and looking forward for GGG to give us a good incentive to play slow but I already had issue with the limited drops last league when the game was fast due to the reduced drop rates of maps. Now this is doubling down on making me grind with no rewards.

While they think this will make me want to play more unfortunately it wont. This is breaking my heart to have to move away from a game that I played and spent money on religiously for about a year and a half.

Sad momnets for casual 2 to 3 hour a day gamers.

We need a competitor for poe so badly.
If the game had at least one good rival, these garbage, unneeded and anti-fun changes would have never seen the light of the day, because we all know what would have happened with their playerbase, it would just migrate to the other game, where the developer does not try to exterminate every single bit of fun on their path.
POE has been made to be challeging stop crying about Nerf's.

What we see in these days is some streamers/players playing 24/7 grinding like a retarded in the first weeks. Creating stupid meta/op builds, in a way inflating the market prices because when people see their builds 90% of server ( or even more ) want that stupid build too. Doing this POE doesnt look challenging anymore to these people.
I miss "Build of week showcase". This encouraged people to create something unique, innovative, very fun and somehow accessible to anyone who wanted to test. Not just CoC CoC CoC...

Let's play more and cry less guys come on.

I like poe(or used to like it), but I WONT MAKE IT SECOND JOB AND I WONT LIKE YOUR GARBAGE RNG CASINO you called crafting

If you want to develop your game in that way - fine, good luck in your search of players willing to play it

First manifesto to comment on and the last since i'm quitting, beeng playing on and off since 2.5 and never been more down. I'm really trying to have fun and enjoy the game but y'all want to make it harder and harder, as said before problems include: 1-shots out of nowhere, huge amount of mobs that deal random debuffs each per seconds and you take the flask immunity from that, nerf to the movement since there aren't enough mechanics that require us to dodge quickly if we dont want to get oneshotted more.
Another comment i want to make is your hate towards casual players, how do you want to grow the playerbase if every time you see that crafting has a chance to become available for the masses (old harvest crafting that had a fun farmville style mechanic) you take that away in no time, yet still have systems that require a lot of currency (e.g. beast crafting) for the 0.1% of players. The group bonuses on drops especially should be completely dropped since they set unrealistic expectations, given you balance the mob difficulty for them, for casual players.
Also, i can't remember when it was the last time when i was excited to see a patch note since all have been massive nerfs for quite some time now. Yea sure, remove everything that makes us tanky, nerf IC, nerf fortify, nerf ES (back in 3.0 and instaleech), nerf zerphi's (all versions as well that made me super salty) that was a fun ass build that did little to no damage with the only redeeming quality that it was tanky and the list can go on and on...

TLDR
I'm sad that from a design perspective you always prioritise the 0.1% interests (nerfing casuals getting good items only being a downside for them), nerf everything that is fun because you balance the game for them instead of making it fun for everyone else.

Not even salty, just sad, see you guys on forums and hope you have a good launch with 10k people playing the new league.
