Not only did they nerf everything we also got crap Zana mods.

You fool! They buffed the shit out of lightning arrow and firestorm! WEVE GOT THOSE WOOOOO!

While it isn't as bad as it seemed from the livestream it's still pretty bad. Time will tell how long I stay around this patch, but I doubt it will be long. I absolutely wont be buying any further supporter packs if this is the trend that is going to continue.

60% Less damage for my non meta build. Ty

Excellent notes GGG. This type of proactive and disruptive change is good for the game. Looking forwards to a more dangerous wraeclast!

It is comprehensible, that the damage values went to high. For that, there are the support skill gem nerfs. But the mana change is very bad, because the builds will feel clunky. This is the first point where your intent of having more fun with the fun chosen builds will struggle. The next point, that will kill your intent is, that there will be a new wider meta. Maybe other meta, but one more time with a few builds, that will be much stronger as the rest. In my opinion Trickster and Saboteur builds could be overpowered this season. One more point of killing the endgame fun: Awakened gems, there are now super weak. But you have to take hard fights to get them.
If you take the summary of the nerfs, then a sixlink-build will now feel like a four-link build before. Some weak gems, like Creeping Frost will now be much underpowered in red maps. Perhaps not even playable. I saw only two times Sirus in my life, because mostly I have already been playing fun chosen builds. A fulltime worker with family, like me, is now forced to play only one character the whole season, if he wants to reach the endgame. There is no more option to play more than one character into T16 maps during one season. Maybe Path of Exile will not be anymore the right game for me... Best regards |

After giving it a second go over I think it's worse than I thought. I am not sure how I will ever convince another friend to try this game out for the first time. I, and people I play with, tend to play these types of games to feel powerful. Making new players feel both weak and slow on top of the overwhelming complexity of this game on first impression is just going to be too much for anyone new to enjoy in my group. I really think you need to work on another balance pass as soon as possible. Waiting until the next league will be too long and nerfing players further will most likely kill any population you have left.
