Also, turns out my Antec 1200 case is probably not gonna cut it as far as space for all the crap that comes with proprietary inbuilt heatsinks now. So I ordered a Fractal Thoughts enchanted with +40% front USB sockets.

It's roomy.

The bad part is, I got to carry it 3+ miles home on foot over black ice when there was a power outage at the train stop nearest my home.

and 1 1/2 weeks after waiting in text queue for the ONE Nitro 6600 XT in all of my metropolitan area, it suddenly popped up in 5+ boroughs in abundance and was 100 bux cheaper (limit 1 still).

They're rebounding now this may be a decent time to pick one up if you're not holding out for the 700w monstercard or the X670 chipset or GDDR∞ to debut.

I’m confused what’s going on. Did some group release a hoard of gpu for auction? And why do ppl need them so bad? Don’t most players already have decent rigs? I play a $6000 Alienware laptop, so I couldn’t even benefit from this, and my GPU is better than almost every GPU currently on the market. Am I missing something?

The Biggest irony is that as soon we get that Flood of USeless anymore gpous, cuz 4xxx series are around the corner and the whole sharade of mining will begin again..

And the absolute worst part which shows how much Both AMD and Ngreedia work as a cartel to fuck the customers is how they are increasing the MSRP prices when they see how quickly the cards are selling.

Its absolutely disgusting and on the border of crime..( Purposelly holding stocks on contracts with distributors is actually a crime in many Countries and also in EU..)

Nvidia and AMD both should be prosecuted for Intentionally scamming the customers with fake msrp prices and then selling the product on BULK with 20% higher prices..

Disgusting.. And total Cartel work..
The State legislations need a change , so the Law can actually fight the big corporations..
Its so evident that the corporates are overtaking the world now..

im still confused what this thread is supposed to be about. the price of graphics cards barely changed at all. i bought a 3080 in early 2021 for 1.2k, the average price of these actually went up from what i see from scalpers on ebay and these are still sold out on official vendors. what flood of gpus was supposed to happen exactly?

a 2060 dropping from 310 to 270 is natural devaluation as time passes with new gfx card models releasing

While I cannot totally speak for the OP, I believe the thread was in regards to the lessening of the supply chain issue that had the majority of the cards that were actually available being gobbled up by scalpers and re-sellers.

Once more cards hit the market, and consumers had the chance to actually get them, I think that's what the OP was talking about.

The funny thing is this has taken so long to clear up, that the newer cards are already coming out, and many SKU's are seeing price drops.
