[3.25] Ice Dancing Queen - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything
Hey guys, I'm having fun with the build and all, but honestly got into dead point.
My survability is good (not great, there happens to be some problems, especially with harder content like bosses (even shaper guardian can be deadly)) But damage is more problematic. I admit during early endgame/mapping the dmg was very good, no problems whatsoever, but at t16 tier and scaling difficulty on those maps, then I feel like damage is lacking I'm asking if anyone could find a time and help me, what upgrades should i go for, which one's are best cost/upgrade wise (side question: any good money making method? Upgrades I know of are expensive at this point and I don't know how to make good buck) maybe did I forget anything while gearing (I'm playing less this league so when I come back after a few days I tend to forget what I was supposed to do/upgrade etc) My build: https://poeplanner.com/b/NVj Thank you everyone who could find a moment to help/answer <3 |

" I'm using basically this strategy, but with a slightly different atlas tree. You need two stones and five favourite maps unlocked, nothing else. https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/13e9igx/entry_level_currency_farming_wandering_path/ My atlas tree: https://www.pathofexile.com/fullscreen-atlas-skill-tree/AAAABgAAfADOBPgLcQ7TD2MQ4RTaGMQbTh9mH8Qf6yPaJOkmWCjQKOkqhCvXK9ouizCMMiQz5DmOPl8_BEB-QYxCwUOpR89Nq1WHVm1Ym1jBWTxafVvZXbddx1_rYE1jtWUAZZdmtWzUcQtyiHOldSd1_3aAdsJ9E30dgHiDlIPdhByFxIhtiZGNKY24j9SRfZGMkiycEp60ntKjiaeCruevka_BtIa1fbcrt4G3zLlpuyq8qLzQwEbCI8X-xjPGm8e0z8nQotSH1LnYntq93E3fI-GL4pfip-Nw43zlj-bN5yjnWOjm6bTqjfPj9Uz3T_ow-mj8V_xx_cn-yf7eAAA= I use Shadow Shaping instead of Singular Focus, block all adjacent maps to Jungle Valley and Beach, and run those exclusively with Exarch. Harvest materials are the big earner, but delirium and red altars also give a good boost, and Incandescent Invitations every 28 maps is another 3/4 div. I also run every forge on a claw/wand/shield and put them up for sale. I start at 1 div, and then reduce prices down until things sell... A lot sell for 30/40/50/100C... Using that I've basically got a full nearly optimised build apart from %int rings and forged staves... :-) My profile is open so you can see. Last edited by Cyzax#3287 on Jun 2, 2023, 7:59:51 AM

" Can't look at PoB, but I've looked at your profile on the website. First order of priority is Cruses. Five-link that chest piece, pick up Whispers of Doom and put Punishment and Forst bite on your chst piece with the Hextouch setup. It's minimal investment (maybe 50C and four points) for what is problably an average of 50-60% more damage at your stage. The cast on damage Frosbite is not going to be applied nearly as often as on a Ball Lightning setup and will drain your mana. I even suspect it often lacks the necessary mana to proc anyway. Get a good Watcher's Eye. It shouldn't cost over a divine and it'll greatly help. While waiting for what is problably your forbidden jewels in thsoe two empty sockets, put in some converter jewels for 10C for two. It's going to givee you 70-100 int easy. Then the forbidden jewels when you have the budget. Quality your flask for almost free +20% duration. Roll your flasks (or buy some already rolled). You can get 50% increased evasion and crit chance for almost nothing as suffixes, or protection against curses. It's worth it. Get some charge on crit prefixes for optimal uptime. Roll implicits on body armour for easy and cheap increases in damage/tankiness. You can also roll that piece some more for extra stats. Get a CWDT/Immortal call setup like suggested in the guide. It's going to help tremendously with your survivability. Awakened Cold pen for extra cold penetration and cold exposure on hit on boss staff. Look in PoB if the +int per mastery is more int than the +5%int (attributes mastery). Quality your skill gems for extra damage or utility. More expensive upgrades are the synth rings and the special amulet, then Enlighten 4 or helmet enchant to drop the Charisma annoint. |

" That's a very interesting strategy! I'm wondering if the 20 or so points in Shadow Shaping + drops connected maps is worth it over buying the maps in bulk. You could allocate some more drop, like Essences or the rest of the top hat for more quant. I've never had the guts to use Wandering Path for some reason. I have this irrationnal feeling of loss when I can't allocate the big dots. Doesn't the loss of the +50% chance of additionnal harvest and +10% for additionnal monster hurt your lifeforce returns too much? Maybe it's just that my brain has been conditionned to be unimpressed by travel nodes and excited for notables. I usually also run the improved Trials notable and the boss maps notables. How much lifeforce do you get from a typical map with that setup? Last edited by WinterHiko#1542 on Jun 2, 2023, 2:22:30 PM

This is the second time I've used this build, the first time with the Scion. I'm holding off on adding the CI node in the skill tree, but am not sure when I should make the leap. Would y'all mind taking a look at my build and provide some guidance on how I can improve?
https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Nike4000/characters The character is IceDancingQueen and my profile should be public, let me know if it isn't. I've been farming the Merciless lab simply because I'm having so much fun killing Argus and Izaro over and over again. So, I'm a little OP for the Acts, but having too much fun with the build doing labs for now. Let me know how I can upgrade the Queen! Last edited by Nike4000#6088 on Jun 2, 2023, 8:19:21 PM

Finally got my staff! I think lady luck balanced out on me on somewhere between 500-600 chances to make up for the absolutely miserable time I had combining staves to make the base.
I also gave up on getting more than 2 white sockets. I don't really need them and it was getting far too annoying to keep attempting. Hopefully the 2nd staff doesn't take too many attempts either. It's brutal on the wrists, I feel for you who took thousands or over 10k attempts :( Edit: The 2nd staff took me somewhere around 1500-1600 chances if I'm guessing (I vendored for scours because buying them off trade was marginally more expensive than just buying chances and 4:1, but also because its was more difficult to get responses on scours vs chances...so...I wasn't keeping complete track) Last edited by Corazu#5976 on Jun 2, 2023, 11:47:22 PM

I think its time to do recheck on gear? Have I done everything like it should be or is there something I should change to get build even better. :) Maybe something have gone unnoticed.. Thanks in advance. |

" Honestly you're still at a very early stage. Follow the guide for now and switch to the cluster tree when you can. I would suggest replacing three of your life flasks for other types. Switch to CI at about 3kES. |

" Your amulet does not have "%dmg per int", which would help with damage. The super duper versions also stack %attr. Your rings should both be synthesized rings with %int as implicits. You have mana recoup on Watcher's Eye, your left ring doesn't need the crafted affix. a minimum Frenzy/endurance charge modifier would be better. Rapture Eye jewel on the right should be conversion jewel. Watcher's Eye could be upgraded with a third modifier (though that would be super costly). Split Personnalities could be upgraded to int/ES. You cut the path for your Split Personnalities. Make it go around the left again and you should get some more int/ES from that (I'm counting 8 more nodes in the path, so 20 more int from Split Personnalities alone). Hope that helps! |

" Any recommendation on the alternate flasks? I do notice that I'm not using the life flasks as often as I was, which is kinda good I guess. So, what should I replace them with? I have both Atziri's Promise and Rumi's Concoction flasks in my inventory, but didn't know if it was still too early to equip them. Last edited by Nike4000#6088 on Jun 3, 2023, 9:04:39 AM
