3.22.1 Patch Notes

So Titanic shell still protects his own totem, i thought that was bug lol.
I counted it to 122 different fixes and I think I missed one or maybe a few more about crashes, but the last two lines are about crashes.

So either (2 / 122 = 0,0164) equal to ~1,6 percent ...
or if we count every one of them it will be ...

The Titanic Shell Warrior also now respawns 50% slower.


Why? You can change all in game mechanics and make the best game, but if it is not playable because of crashes, does that matter?

I know that not everyone have crashes, like I don't have any graphics issues but I have seen people having it.

Long time ago it was a quote often used at the internet, and it was something like this, "don't fix it if it aint broken".

It was a bit annoying with some random crashes, but it was playable sometimes. Now, I can't even play this game five minutes without a crash.

I would be glad if you made some statement, "We don't have a clue what we screwed up and soon we don't care anymore and pretend everything is woring as it should".

The communication isn't much better. But there was a note about a patch with all fixes that would be released this week. Some sort of news absolutely, but it was just a list. No description of anything more than a list. The one I quoted above is like "fixed some issues". What instances were "fixed" or at least tried to, and what "clients" were fixed, or at least tried to"?

I bet, if this continue, PoE will be like a worse sequal than D4 was for Blizzard. There is one good thing though (even if this nightmare hopefully will be fixed but I don't think you are able to fix it anymore) and that is you will not getting a lot of mtx buy. That is the only way to say, it is not acceptable. In D4 I said "good bye" but Blizzard went to the treasure chest and took that filthy blood money.

For me it is not about the money, but for you it is about money. At least the "new owner" have some demands of earning cash.

I thought this game was outstanding (maybe it was a lot because I came from one of the worst releases I have ever played) and gave us a lot of freedom and such things. I tried to get more people playing it.

Trust me I don't want be killed by my friends, so I will not try go get anyone to play this game, because the risk is that they can't.

Do you even know how many of all have those issues? I bet it is not close to ten percent and maybe it is not even one percent but I would guess somewhere in between those numbers.

It is sad! It was a game that worked - I din't see any threads about all issues and then there was a "performance patch".

To compare a bit.
In hardcore there is a priority list for me, and it is:
Survive
Survive
Survive

Because as long as I survive I can continue playing that character.


This games priority should be, at least in my opinion:
Game should work
Game should work
Game should work

Because if the game works we can play it at least, even if there is a turtle bugged out. It like "okay, dont play against that turtle". Try imagine that it does not exist as the crucible forge. It is just a thing in the game and the most of them are nof affecting it overall!

Why do I got insanely of crashes lately? I can't see any logic at all. Before I had crashes but then I could play ten hours and get a crash and so, I could live with it. But now I think (when the crash take the sound with it) I spend more time restaring the computer and start the game and so on than I actually play.

In some way I wish I started this game in this phase instead - then I had left and played another game and showed the creator the love with money there instead. Now I have showed my love for a game I would have uninstalled within one hour with theese crashes.

I am that annoyed now so I don't bother to try to change something in my settings at all. Wast of time like crashing all the time. I just have some hope. But please tell me I shold not have any hope, then I can put this game in the same garbage pile as D4!

This is like having a pilot at an aircraft crashing it over and over. Trust me that man has got fired fast enough if he survived all crashes. If you are bad at your work, do something else. If you can't drive a bus, don't drive a bus!

I am in a mood that I consider not even sending a mail to you. I think I will get a response of "thanks for ... sorry for the inconvinence"! And that mail was not about the crashes. But writing to death ears I waste. And celebrate you for a good game I can't either. It was for three weeks or a bit longer, but when it get worse and wotse or at least not better.

It is such a bad priority. And I understand (wrote it before) if you don't know how to fix it. But you are to proud, on the high horse - I think the one in Brno (Czech Republic) - to say, "sorry but we are clueless".

But you arn't. You are driving a bus, but we players are sitting in the train. It is the train you should drive, not the bus.

And having PoE 2 as an ongoing project. Tell the once pushing that game to call me, and I will tell that or them a few really true word. Word they never heard before - and not because of bad language - but the truth. Get yourself together and make sure that things that exist works. Don't travel around world and promote a PoE 2. You have lost the connection with the reality and all people made this game even possible.

So, wich game is next on the list? BG3? At least when they screw up they say sorry and tell what happends and what they do to not avoid it to happen in the future. Starfield maybe? Beteshda have gamnes working what I know. Fallout 4 was imo bad as a game but it worked, as TES Online as ...

If you still were a smnall indie, and this was the start of the game I would have such a big understanding there would be issues on the way. You left the indie and had a game that worked (what I understand) and going in the other direction. It is out of my mind.

I read a newsletter or what to call it when you told you wont be able to update with news on a daily basis when going and prepare exilecon. Good information - but there was nothing about, "we will try a new engine to see how the performance will work, and we do it because we are working on PoE 2 and if it does not fell out well we will just go back to the one existing and working engine".

I try to be some sort of neutral and look at things from a lot of perspective so see as much as I can. With this issue I dont see any "understandings". I wonder wwhats happening, why it is not fixed, if you even bother about it. I am clueless. All whinings I have wonder of why are people caring about non issues when the problem is in thier own hands. But I soon put the whole crew in that same whining box. Its just waste of time no matter if you whine or can't get the job done or whatever is not constructive. With information you shouldnt even be close to that garbage pile. Then you would at least pretend you cared.

This "fix" to titanic shells protecting their own totem has to be the stupidest thing GGG ever did. Looks like they couldn't fix the bugs associated with the escort position (it still only protects its own totem when it's on escort, and when that happens, it also does not move at all) and simply hacked together an extremely half-assed workaround - that doesn't even really work because first, these things are still beefy as hell, and second, your window to get to its totem and take it out when it finally dies is still incredibly small, and god forbid some other unit shows up to interrupt you. Absolutely ridiculous, and worst of all, deceitful. This is straight up disrespectful.

This patch made ToTA way worse.
Thanks GGG for "fixing" issues with TOTA. Thanks to your patch it's much less playable than previously. In last matches of a tournament not only Ahuana is unkillable but now also Rakiata.

I'm not surprised, nerfs and making gameplay worse is what GGG usually uses patches for.

No improvement in terms of performance for me either
6 weeks since cursed engine update, still unplayable...
yeah more offscreen oneshots making this more frustrating

yeah as if it does instant damage in a ring as soon as he casts it when the ground is starting to come up, I noticed that standing in the middle as he casts it doesn't kill you most of the time, but being barely in range does and there is no way to react to it.

and wtf is the titanic shell in escort position still doing??? defending all totems AND ITS OWN still? impossible to kill in higher ranks, even with millions of dps. Same goes for bosses, fighting them makes no sense unless you already got their warrior totems and you distract them while your team kills their totem.

HP/ES nerfs on said warriors are also not at all noticable.

The only improvement I see is the revive progress indicator, the forfeit button and spear dancers not off-screen instant jumping you, at least you can react now, but it will still one shot you in higher ranks. Oh and some visual stuff but that doesn't impact mechanics or game-play at all.

Yeah this patch killed TOTA for me. I went from having a hard time to being outright murdered. I do not care if I am not losing XP, being one shot off screen by something you could have never predicted coupled with long respawn times (while the enemy has an instant respawn and is tanky as hell), just feels terrible.
