Content Update 3.24.0 -- Path of Exile: Necropolis

Added a new Energy Shield Mastery, "50% of your Energy Shield is added to your Stun Threshold", which replaces "Stun Threshold is based on 60% of your Energy Shield instead of Life".

Sorry to say but can we maybe reconsider this change?
Even if we nerf the notable to say be "200% of ES instead of life".

Energy shield being added to your stun threshold is not something many builds will actually care about, it's stun immunity in a mastery at low levels of ES investment, but previously the line of text enabled an entire archetype of defense, and with its removal I am pretty sure there is no other way to make it work?

This change alone kills Bloodnotch, with no way to make it activate anymore.

The archetype was not that crazy in the first place? We had to add 2 unique jewels with very well divined rolls Immutable Force with 960+ and a Bloodnotch with 59-60%. A near perfectly rolled Defiance of Destiny, the ES mastery, AND a lot of gear choices centered around getting as little ES as possible.

5 Different gear requirements for the defense in question and all of the variables are now GONE.

You may as well remove Immutable Force and Bloodnotch along with this mastery change.

So many unintelligent changes and nerfs. I understand 25-35% of the nerfs but the rest of them are absolute disaster - unnecessary the least.
I am sorry, Mark but no.
Also, I REALLY hope that the Pantheon bonuses won't be forcefully applied to all characters in the league because this will be another total disaster. Some builds intentionally skip part of the respective pantheon bonus.
I am still waiting for GGG to bring back the meaning of trials for uber lab since it's on the same logic. So much to say about these two things in particular...

The Unholy Might buff no longer grants 30% of Physical Damage as extra Chaos Damage. It instead now provides 100% of Physical Damage Converted to Chaos Damage, and 25% chance to Apply Wither on Hit.

uhhhhh Original sin ? lol

Yes big original sin nerf.

The Unholy Might buff ..

This is a very weird change that takes unholy might from like a 0.2%? play on builds that are converting all their damage to elements then to chaos to instead be, well.. Utterly useless? I don't think anyone will bother with the unholy might cluster notable anymore truthfully.

Actually, Unholy Might will more useful,"25% chance to Apply Wither on Hit" is a big deal for Chaos and Phys to Chaos attack builds (at least 10 times more players than those 0.2% phys to ele to chaos you mentioned), previously had to use withering touch +or withering step +or Eternal Suffering or the expensive and inconvenient balance of terror to sustain withered stacks.
Eat your vegetables.
Having read through, for the way I play this looks like a really well thought out and balanced set of patch notes. Good nerfs, good changes, some huge. A lot new to play with. League mechanic seems baffling but looking forward to it. Also a great talk through the QoL changes by Mark (LMB fixed enough for me for now), and much improved format to the reveal with PoE 2 bracketing PoE 1. Thanks? Login!
Excellent on the whole, but there are a few things I'm sad about:

loss of wandering path, I had a build I wanted to try with it.

I dislike the loss of duplication on essence monsters, because that was great for really getting lots of rerolls. The no shrieking in white maps is also painful, as for those of us lesser players that makes a big differenc ein how readily I can access them.

The changes to tattoos seems iffy, given how they were mostly prior league and as far as I can see you can't get them now (or at least not much).

Nerfing bloodnotch would be reducing the roll on the item down to say 50%, 40% idc. What they did is remove it without actually removing it.

It basically just removed two unique crimson jewels from the drop table, but we will still see them.. Wooo!
