3.25.0d Hotfix

This is just nonsensical. You can't say "this league has the highest player count" and then when I point out poor retention, say "this league has an excuse because less people will play". That clearly isn't the case based on total player numbers. When you baseline the numbers against other leagues, retention is lower. Period. There's no excuses to be made.

And again, another person who doesn't understand guaranteed loot tiles. Essence is guaranteed loot tiles. We're not talking about that when we complain about loot. We're talking about juicing native map monsters and how no matter how much you juice them, they drop nothing.

Fully agreed on that. Some people just don't understand the difference between guaranteed-rewards mechanics and pure loot from ground. If I want to run juiced Legion+Breach+Beyond map with a little strongboxes I'll be smashed by low profits than it was in Affliction. "Just farm Essences/Heist/Sanctum/Blight" they said lmao
First of all, I am not the person you were talking with before, I am totally different and never said "this league has the highest player count"

Second: Essence was just an example. I was blasting beyond with altars (just for the eldritch currency) with pack size scarabs for influenced monsters and that yielded me multiple divines an hour.

But the other thing - Scarabs and Content with fixed loot tables are there for a reason. Why bother arguing that natural drops suck, if you have a simple solution: run scarabs. Alch and Go is outdated af, there is areason for such mechanics as scarabs.

The thing I am trying to say is, there are SO MANY options how to make currency. Why bothering about the one strat that is outdated.

Oh and btw to the one replied before me: I don't know what you are doing wrong with Legion/Beyond/Breach etc. that was my first farming strategy that financed me my RF Build which cost me 80 divines in the beginning in less than 3-4 days. Not even counting Incubators.

Not gonna argue about how Legion/Breach/Beyond has fixed loot tiles aswell, so the whole argument from you doesn't work either.

Juiced farm strat wasn't outdated all the leagues before, but now it's outdated. Are newbie playres will stay in this league in the next one if they don't know about 10+ different ways to farm? Alch and go is the core mechanic for them and for casual players that have personal life and job and now they don't have this strat. I guess problems with Expedition league changes weren't a mistake, it was underestimated mechanic, so?

I totally get your point and I agree with you that alch and go WAS a good way before the rework of sextants into scarabs etc. But this brings me to the thing that I fail to understand - you get so many scarabs in a single map, even combining random scarabs (which everyone can cause they drop in every corner) in your maps without a optimized strat yields you good profits.

I totally get the point about alch and go being gone, but that's just how it is. The rework of the scarabs basically made alch and go worse, but brought a much better system imo.

The same logic applies to: You get to choose between a Ferrari and a Fiat Punto, you are allowed to drive both. Ferrari wasn't there the leagues before. You choose the Punto and complain that its max speed and acceleration is worse than Ferrari. (Not actually calling you out, I mean the people that complain 24/7)

So language barrier, not native english, but I hope you get what I want to tell.

90%+ of the scarabs are useless.

Just as 90% of the skillgems in their current state.

Just as 90% of the content in it's current state.

They always were terrible when it came to micro-balance they just got much better at masking it.

It's a total newbbait to inflate the numbers while they waste their time figuring that out on their own.

I wonder how you define useless, since I've used multiple different Scarab Combinations only this league which worked pretty well. Many of them have hidden potential, that are not obvious in first sight. For example the Increased Pack Size for Influenced Monsters Scarab in combination with the 40% Magic Pack Size Scarab isn't looking good at first sight, but combine them with the monsters spawning from exarch or eater influence/altars and there you go, you have 80% increased pack size for those monsters.

I agree with the skills, we have our meta skills, but just because it is not meta, doesn't mean it's bad. I mean nobody is playing Cobra Lash right now, but doesn't have to be a bad skill.
