Unfair Monetary Advantages to all platforms except PSN

Personally here my opinion is that GGG should allow a one-time copying over of Sony MTX to PC but not the other way round. I don't see how this would really affect them at all; nothing is changing on the Sony side, GGG would just be giving a bunch of "free" MTX to users on a platform completely unrelated to Sony.

I think Sony's reasoning behind not letting people transfer over is that they want to force people to continue to play POE on their platform instead of PC because those people don't want to throw away the money already spent. By allowing them to effectively transfer off it they won't get any future POE income from them because they'll be playing on PC instead.

This just speculation but I doubt GGG can do what you're suggesting without having to pay Sony a massive overinflated sum in compensation or get kicked off the platform.

Perhaps, and if that is the case then Sony truly are asshats.

I was laboring under the assumption that they likely just wanted a cut of any MTX sales so didn't want people to be able to buy outside of their store and then use on their platform.

If this really is a measure designed to essentially just blackmail people into staying on their platform then that's far more egregious.

I never saw a reason to play this game on playstation.
Still don't.
I love the guys that say "I've spent xxxx amount of thousands and thousands of dollars". Then you look next to their name and only seen one or two supporter packs.

May or may not be relevant to this thread, but supporter badges can be turned on or off freely, I usually have mine off but I'll turn them on for a bit to prove a point :)

I can feel the rage emanating from this post and it fulfills me.

Your full of human excrement and you know it.

I've spent ~$1000USD and don't have that many supporter packs. Your rage is palpable.
I'm assuming you have both a PC and a PS5.

And your upset because your PS5 POE1 purchases don't transfer to PC for POE2.

If its the other way around (PC-->PS5) your anger is REALLY misplaced.

Suggestions:

Spoiler
1. Sell your PS5 - its the holidays it'll sell fast

2. Go to the SONY forums and vent your frustrations there (this is a SONY issue NOT GGG) and note you are selling your PS5 and will no longer be supporting PS.

3. Use some of the monies to purchase ONE $60 supporter pack that will let you buy all of the stash tab you really need for BOTH POE1 and POE2 on PC.

4. As for MTX especially from drops that you can no longer get - it sucks I hate it for you. If you can repurchase the ones you REALLY liked or just look at the newer ones for POE2. And even without MTX the characters look INSANE

5. If you had digital purchases on PS5 use some of the money from selling to repurchase the games you REALLY want - steam will have a huge sale very soon.

6. Most importantly don't let your current emotions effect your standing with GGG - you're passionate don't let that be your undoing and get you banned.

I understand that it's a very frustrating situation, but I'd advise restraint when blaming GGG for the PlayStation fiasco. GGG wants nothing more than to unify all platforms (including MTX), but their hands are tied.

Is it fair that Xbox and PC get to dance the night away in a loving embrace? Arguably not, but a promise was made and GGG are honouring it to the best of their ability.

I want to point out that neither you, nor I, nor anyone other then Sony and GGG know exactly what went wrong. But we can guess.

It's entirely possible Sony WOULD let mtx transfer, for a cost from GGG and GGG said no. It's not just Sony saying no, this would mean that GGG didn't want to pay up, which of course hurts a portion of their players and it's something they wouldn't want to be made public.

If this is the case, then what we have here is GGG deciding they'd make less money overall by paying Sony for the mtx xfer, and they instead chose to make more money with the Sony players buying mtx again. And if so, scummy move.

I like and respect GGG, but this forum really has a problem with never wanting to even entertain the idea that GGG is now profit first and therefore might take actions we don't like.

How do you go from "no one knows..." to making up your entire argument and leaning on it?
Facts in evidence: Grinding Gear promised, to the best of its ability, to allow MTXes that COULD transfer from Path the First to do so. Not all MTXes can transfer, but they delayed the game and took a PR and financials hit to accommodate that promise.

Second fact: Sony MTXes don't cross, and PC can't cross to PayStation. This after Jonathan, earlier in the year, mentioned in a public interview that they were negotiating with the platform holders to try and fulfill their promise but that their hands might end up tied.

Third fact: Xbone players can cross MTX, but PayStation users cannot.

Conclusion: Microsoft played ball, but Sony refused to. Whether it was a flat "No" or a financial requirement too onerous for Grinding Gear to take on is irrelevant. Fault: Sony. Take your complaints to them, not Grinding Gear.
