PoE 2 is cooking GPUs and CPUs Actually Dangerous to PC.

3070 ti and top of the line i9 both with WATERCOOLING.

Every other game is fine benchmarks etc, this games running so much resources its actually dangerous, hope you guys got marshmellows.

My fans do ramp up, at least when I unlock FPS, but not to the max and it's not the only game that does that. Some just seem to have the habbit of running your system at a higher performance.
The same happens in Overwatch.


If your system overheats, that means your cooling already maxed out, right? Where are your temp limiters? Did you disable them? Maybe your cooling is lacking? Water cooling isn't automatically better than air cooling, it can even be worse, especially when it's cheap and/or set up poorly.

Yeah, Utzaal, Aggorat from Act 3, Utzaal is specially notorious, it being one of the more difficult zones doesn't help. There are more off-course, but I didn't note them down.

3080 Extreme, i5-13400, I have fps limiter set to 100 fps and undervolting for GPU on 1700Mhz threshold max. (3080 Extreme can go even for 2100Mhz).

and its going max 55 C degrees and this 1700Mhz is all the time - this means that PoE2 demands GPU to be at max performance all the time.

I have turned off all max settings in nvida panel - because - for example - if you turn on "best performance" "reflex" etc options in nvidia or game panel - card will be pushed to the max - even if doesn't have to. Many ppl do not understand how it works. It's always max, because you "insist" by this option best performance for your card, so card is in max ready mode. Understanding that is very important during undervolting and making system optimal for energy consumption and cpu/gpu survivability. Many "streamer and youtubers" advice is to turn on reflex and performance in nvidia menu - to have best visual experience -but its wrong if you care about your temperatures and stress. The only exception I do is for FPShooters when I want max performance to keep 165 fps for my monitor.

Btw: I would like to pay money - really - pay money for not to see ppl mtx shit in towns. I use invisibility dyes on auras skills - because games are too beautiful - PoE1 and PoE2 to make this looking bad with mtxs. Mtxs cracing the vibe.

that could be result of buying an expensive cpu/gpu and using cheap cooler or case! these cards requite a lot of investment!

asus 4070ti and 11700k. 1440p capped framerate to 120fps.

ive got my cpu topped out at 70 degrees and gpu 76

though it probably was only hitting those temps for a second or two. most of the time the gpu stays in high 60's and the cpu stays in low 60's, like it will for all of my other games.

even though there's nothing dangerous aboout those temps, this game has already made my hardware hit temperatures i've never seen before throughout any game i've ever played, and i haven't quite hit mapping. i hope it doesn't get worse. i don't want to see what those summer temps would look like.
