Common Monster Drowning Orbs

This feels really bad while playing on PS5. With so much happening on the screen it’s easy to not notice you’re in a drowned orb until you don’t have enough time to get out of it. Make it take longer or don’t ramp up the visual effect and just have it go to its max visual effect right away. If anything else catches you in a slow at that time or they happen to spawn more in the direction you’re started running away in you just end up dying.

Edit: One of the problems I am facing with drowning orbs is they are almost always accompanied by a large vortex. So it’s a large area slow that can be cast on top of you and overlap combined with a heat seeking drowning orb that together can drop you too quickly to react or without anywhere to escape to far too easily. The two comboing together feels like poor balance.

I was initially going to post a bug about this, but then I did some searching and realized it was actually a game mechanic that completely circumvents your defenses and kills you no matter what... The only other mechanics I can think of that do that are from pinnacle bosses mini-game failures - Zarokh (if you fail his timed orb chasing game) and King in the Mists (if you fail to find the portal back to him before the second phase). And this can be done by a common mob? Crazy!

Here's my latest death to this thing:

I was completely chilling in this map, nothing can come even close to killing me here and then bam - instant death. There's supposed to be some kind of screen shadowing (which I have seen before), but I definitely didn't notice it this time. I even thought that this was because I paused the game inside of this orb for a couple minutes and when I unpaused, I died instantly. I'm thinking that the timer might still be counting for me standing inside the orb while paused, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Anyway, what an extremely sneaky and stupid mechanic, I hate it.
