Why POE2 is dying

So far there are two issues I have that were raised in the initial post:
1/ Trials
They are far too long, it takes forever to do any of them. The worst being the trial of chaos for the last ascendancy. Having to run thr trial multiple times to get an idol at the end (loved the fact I got 4 times the same one in a row) before you can actually face the boss. The fact that you can buy those idols completely defeat the purpose, it's a total non sense.
2/ Endgame mapping
What I always liked in poe1 and even more in poe2 is bossing, I like to kill big dudes. Unfortunately, those are way to rare.

As for the rest, I don't those comments as issues. Dying in a map is heavily penalized, so be it. I've lost a fair few very good waystone dying stupidly, too bad for me. I like it the way it is because it's challenging.

Problems:
1. Ascendancies are bottlenecked behind bad mechanics and RNG
2. Crafting is meaningless and random
3. Magic find ruined the economy completely, you are now either rich or poor
4. Maps and areas are way too big
5. Melee is dead, it feels clonky, bad, slow, and punishing
6. T1-T10 maps feels pointless and has little or no rewards
7. Endgame is a one-shot fest unless you run a meta 15k energy shield build
8. Armor is effectively pointless when it comes to mitigate dying
9. Building life builds are punished heavily, ES builds rewarded heavily
10. Build diversity bricked due to all the problems above
11. Campaign too long to incentivize multiple runs/leagues for most people
12. Death penalties makes no sense in normal game mode
13. Bosses too scarce in endgame

All problems are true.

But poe2 is not dying.

It's EA.

And there will be more phase of EA in the next month as I remember.

Ane there will be official launch in Feb.

Even if the first league is bad, poe2 won't be dying imo.

Poe1 sucks in 1.3, there were only 2-3 build that can truely hit uber Atziri.

I don't like the current state of the game too.

If poe2 stay almost the same state in May or July, I'll say this game is fuked.

you know which idol you get after the second boss. Each ENDBOSS drops a different one.

You even failed to remember the name of the ascendancies, and you expect us to believe it?

Love the games. PoE1 way more so than PoE2, but still enjoying both.

Hate the company. The scummy, lying, fake and shitty facade, the excuses, the failures, and most of all, the "Vision".

Keep both of those in mind when reading my posts.

Doesn't change the end problem. Which idol you get is random, whether you find out after second boss or at the end doesn't change much. The only difference is maybe you can give up after the second one if you know you won't get the idol you need. But in that case, it's just easier to buy them all before doing the trial which, again, totally defeats the purpose
Honestly,

did you ever play POE1?

The Game is in early access, but its not intended to make it an easy walkthrough for everyone crying on the feedback Forum.

There are some points i totally agree for example the Ascendancy Trials. the lack of good league mechanics, there are some minor balances who need some work, like i said it is in early access.

I can tell you the exact time POE2 is dying. If every single point on your list is getting "fixed" and everyone is clearing all content in about 100h of gameplay

Just popping in to say you're one of my favorite people on these sorts of posts. Clear, concise, no BS.

Keep it up!

According to steam charts there was a bit of a drop around the Christmas holidays, but to say that the game is dying is blatant over-dramatization and click/ragebait.

I think your feedback would have been taken more serious if you hadn't wrapped it in this nonsense of a statement.

The game is not dying, it was just born. People are slowly completing everything there is to do in the current content, give feedback and do something else with their lifes, untill new content drops and some of the feedback gets incorporated.
Than the cycle will continue, such is the usual process of an early access developement (e.g. BG3, Subnautica and so on and so forth).

I think it would be helpfull, if the feedback forum is used for feedback, instead of clickbait and discussion about if the game "is dying" or not, we have reddit for that ;)

Kind Regards,
