Poe 2 Atlas is the worst endgame I've ever seen in any ARPG.
We want a smooth atlas map that allows you to put a map and some materials into your map device and then immediately try out the map.

ye atlas needs a bit of love right now, there are several stuff that could be made to improve the endgame in my opinion, i'll name feww:
- reroll atlas map nodes (orb of horizon) - search filters to easily navigate the atlas - progression toward citadels - increase breach splinters and delirium splinters by at least 40%-50% - chances for a waystone to show should be similar between all the nodes, ex. i get 1 ravine every 15 augury, that's bad - alternative endgame layout similar to poe1 atlas (less stuff displayed, easier to navigate) - feature to mark nodes on the atlas - ex. i'm about to lvl and i'm looking for irradiated + corrupted node, i find one miles away and after that it takes some time to get back to where i was coz the area is just to huge Last edited by SGOR#4760 on Jan 6, 2025, 5:30:19 AM

Yea, poe 1 atlas is much better

The only reason I've progressed so deeply in a single direction was avoiding maps like Mire, Augury, and Vall Factory after stacking towers. GGG should give me a choice of 2-3 maps I like (ok, ok, AFTER I painfully completed every different map or smt like that) so I can run it without making Atlas, where I can completely get lost.

POE2 atlas is the worst thing in any game i've seen. You can't even change distance, doesn't have any minimap. Nausea and dizziness while looking for the right point on the map, can not see the names of the maps, I do not like Mire, Augury, Vaal Factory and Hidden Grotto

I like the idea that you still travel somewhere in the endgame, like you do in campaign. But endless Atlas undermines this concept right from the start.
I think Atlas must be big, random for everyone, but finite. Citadels should be in 1 particular place once you find them and must have unlimited t15 key tries. Maps nodes should be replayable (maybe not endlessly, but say, after completing some other maps; lore wise monsters come back there after some time). |

If it matters I'm not particularly in love with the current atlas either.
Constructive Feedback 1: Please add a "search" option to find exposed Citadels, "map boss" nodes, or similar other major things that players may want to search for and easily find. Constructive Feedback 2: Allow the players agency to also encounter additional "map bosses" via tablets in a similar way to how Ritual, Breech, etc. can be added to maps. This may reduce some of the perceived slot in Atlas quest progression, map sustain, etc. Constructive (?) Feedback 3: Allow the players to have a marker, cone, something, that might nudge the player in the general direction of the nearest Citadel. Not sure that this is reasonable but I do know my old expansion method seems "dumb" [sub-optimal at least] so some guidance wouldn't hurt my feelings :) |

true is that navigation on atlas is horrible, they have to put some high level view, otherwise it is unplayable.

" I am not quite at the point where I'd want to "give up" on the infinite atlas but I would like the ability to give players more agency over what they encounter. For example a way [tablets?] to add bosses in a similar way we irradiate maps OR add ritual, breech, etc.?? Maybe a way to run more of your favorite map layout(s)?? I know I can't stand Ritual spawning on a map where all three rituals spawn in "very narrow hallways" -- Perhaps some type of "favoriting" system?? |

" I think there's two types of players right now. The ones that like the hardcore aspect where one death in a map nukes all the exp you earned through AT LEAST that map, and possibly the one before it. And the other players who are more casual and want to have fun, while still being challenged. Simply put, mechanics like exp loss suck. I don't mind having to redo a node if I mess up and die...but you're making it harder to advance your character as a result, which means zero forward progress on the map or your character. This doesn't feel good, and I'm not sure how much more I'll play with this as the end-game. It definitely doesn't entice me to spend on RMT. |
