What's the point of having difficult ascendancy trials if you allow boosting?
You're just paying 25 exalt to collect all 8 points. What is this? This is just dream for RMT people.

Nothing that happens in RMT league matters, so who cares? SSF is the only actual game mode free from the taint of cheaters.

" Do not take this as an insult to your intelligence. But do you actually think that manually running sanctum/ultimatum for like half hour, then manually writing to people, inviting them to party, trading, killing the boss, etc... All this work for 25ex/p, is viable strategy for RMT. This is what? 1 dollar and 48 cents per day? Compared to, idk... connecting bunch of bots with auto trade? Cornering the market and listing everything for 1d? Think for a second... |

" Pretty sure certain ppl hire pilots for it. |

I spent the last 3 days attempting my third point.
Because of how Sanctum and Ultimatum are set up, the build I'm trying to Ascend just can't really do it. I can clear maps and kill map bosses very, very easily. I just walk through maps and everything dies. Not these mechanics though. I did a total of 5 attempts. 3 Sanctum, 2 Ultimatum. Took a total of about 5 hours, running, respeccing, regearing. Spent about 25 exalts total on Tokens. Failed every one. Just because something touched me a couple times in Sanc, or the boss in Ultimatum just one shotted me. Insanely frustrating. Hours of time and effort and energy gone. Makes me want to quit the game. Takes a lot of time and effort. Oh wait, I have 40 exalts in my stash. 10 minutes later, 4th Ascendency unlocked. Skipped right over the third. I'm not going to go anywhere near those trials ever again. Runs will get cheaper. Ascendency is now the easiest it's ever been in any PoE iteration, ever. The Offering just costs 40x more now, but you don't even have to do anything. Last edited by LVC1FR#4407 on Jan 8, 2025, 7:23:57 AM

Buying "carries" to unlock power has been a thing in PoE1 for a fair number of years.
Oddly when I first started playing I never needed a carry ... only when GGG locked character power behind significantly more difficult [for me / some of my builds] quests did I actually look into it esp. when I had builds that weren't well suited to the new content. Personally I'd just like some of the ascension trials "re-tuned" so they're a little less oppressive esp. for the fourth ascension. OK I wouldn't mind having up to four ways to ascend either as one of those may be better suited for my build. I.E. challenging but not crazy. Last edited by KingAlamar#4071 on Jan 8, 2025, 8:07:49 AM

I feel this comes down to player choice. You want to earn it, go earn it. You want to get carried? Okay.
I feel if the system gets tweaked so that it's not so incredibly punishing (and unfairly at times) people like to take on the challenge themselves more. |

" Agreed. If the trials are seen as "hard but fair" then I don't see why anyone would want to buy a carry. Note: At my current level of power the first through third ascensions aren't too bad -- I.E. I even farm some 3 floor Sanctum ; 7 run Ultimatum. Oddly enough I haven't bought a carry yet because I'm "almost" there .. Made it to round 9 on Trials of Chaos my first time [good RNG??] but only made it to 6 my second time [my fault -- I chose a bad mod that I hoped would be less bad than other mods .. I was wrong] Last edited by KingAlamar#4071 on Jan 8, 2025, 8:13:58 AM

Wait a bit and you will see a lot more carry services here for 90+ xp. Its was a good business in POE1 and will be here too. Why do you think some poeple here are defending xp loss with their heartblood.
