What's the point of having difficult ascendancy trials if you allow boosting?

I feel this comes down to player choice. You want to earn it, go earn it. You want to get carried? Okay.

I feel if the system gets tweaked so that it's not so incredibly punishing (and unfairly at times) people like to take on the challenge themselves more.

This is the problem right now, absolutely. It's not much of a choice for some.

If I had to redo the Lab a few times, and finally beat Izaro, I felt like I earned that FOR SURE. Izaro and the Lab checked universal requirements. Can you survive physical damage? Elemental? Can you survive hordes of enemies? Big boss? Both at once? How about your movement and regen? Can you survive these traps? You can? Excellent!

In Sanctum and Ultimatum, it's "Is your build good at Sanctum and Ultimatum? It is? Excellent! It isn't? Well, you should either respec, completely rebuild for this unique content that isn't present elsewhere in the game, buy a carry, or perhaps just go !@#( yourself."

You aren't earning a thing. You're bashing your head into poorly tuned content or being forced to adapt to something that plays unlike the entire rest of the game. Ascendency Mechanics should not be things that favor certain archetypes. They should not be things that actively dismantle parts of your build. They should test your build.

Sanctum doesn't test my build, Sanctum is just Sanctum. It tests if I can find enough objects to get 75% of another resist and then simply avoid being hit by stuff.
Ultimatum doesn't test my build, it gives me a slot machine to see if I can actually still use it for 10 pulls.

They are both completely inappropriate mechanics to gate ascendancy behind.
No idea.

Carry services should be eliminated by just putting on a map mod “Area has a maximum player of one”

And then the only reward is from the actual boss kill in case of some cheese work around

All major bosses and pinnacle content should have this mod

What's the point of having the game if you allow trading?
25 exalts thats a deal, I have only seen it for 1 div

You're just paying 25 exalt to collect all 8 points. What is this? This is just dream for RMT people.

Do not take this as an insult to your intelligence.

But do you actually think that manually running sanctum/ultimatum for like half hour, then manually writing to people, inviting them to party, trading, killing the boss, etc...

All this work for 25ex/p, is viable strategy for RMT.
This is what? 1 dollar and 48 cents per day?

Compared to, idk... connecting bunch of bots with auto trade?
Cornering the market and listing everything for 1d?

Think for a second...

Do not take this as an insult to your intelligence,

But you can complete 2 runs with a standard build, or even 3 if you optimize it. You can invite 3 people, and the price varies between 25 and 40. Players reach out to you through Discord groups. Earning 300+ Ex per hour is pretty good for some people. You can see this for yourself by checking the groups, where the same people are doing runs all day.
