I'm going to point this out again. People were giving GGG money for POE1, when GGG had already decided and or started on POE2, thinking the money was going to help make POE1 better. A lot of people, had they known that the money was going to POE2, would not have given GGG the money, because they had no interest in it. A lot of people on this very forum left at that point.

When you buy a supporter pack, there is no option to select where you want your money to go, you are giving support to GGG in general. Its up to them if they want to use that money on poe1, on poe2, or just to make a soundproof toilet on their office

If you gave the money expecting it to go to poe1 and was disappointment it went anywhere else, its completely on you, ESPECIALLY because they announced they were working on poe2 for a while now, so if you actually didnt noticed at least some of the money was obviously going to poe2, well... yeah...

I stopped supporting GGG immediately after the Exilecon 2023 announcement that PoE Deuce was gonna be a separate game, instead of the expansion/improvement of PoE they had lovingly detailed four years previous at Exilecon 2019. And no less stellar a GGG luminary than Jonathan Rogers acknowledged in an interview that GGG knew as early as 2020 that they were going to take that different approach. But GGG didn't bother to tell those of us buying those Supporter packs for all that time. In my case, that was HUNDREDS of USD, and I'm certain I'm not the only one who feels cheated. ='[.]'=

OP missed the post/video where GGG said they wanted POE 1 and 2 leagues to alternate in order to give us something to look forward to right around the corner. Now it's POE 2 or nothing. Oh, but nothing wrong here. If the OG's don't matter then GGG shouldn't have given those that still like POE 1 the hope that it wasn't going to be shelved. Now the opposite appears true.

Blizz lost me as a customer after D3... GGG might be next to lose me. I have no desire to give them anything more. Making a video to be transparent about back tracking on past design philosophies isn't real transparency. It's SHEISTY

I don't blame them for keeping the other 143 odd employees on the bigger game. I want them to do that.

Not putting out a new POE1 league of "different colored circle with recolored mobs in it" with 7 of them just like the last 2 or 3 years is actually dumb on their part. Like its shooting their own product in the foot and also putting the lie to their own words. Thats dumb.

Or maybe they were bold faced lying. about 7 people making POE1 leagues, seems like an odd thing to lie about. I think lying constantly for the last year of t Dev interviews is kind of stupid as well. But I'm mostly unhappy because POE1 zoomers are going to fucking RUIN POE2's combat with their inability to press more than 1 button.

I want POE1 zoomers distracted. Its the smart move for the future of POE2 not devolving into POE1button.

POE is a live service game that's updated every 4 months. No one asked for a sequel.

Poe 1 was perfect in 2019/2020 when they announced poe 2. Ever since they've DESTROYED poe 1 with testing for poe 2 and just blatant disregard for the game in general because they thought poe 2 was going to replace it and when they renamed it poe 1 they thought poe 2 was going to get 2 mill players on steam and poe 1 wouldn't need to be good anymore so they just milked us poe 1 players and lied to us the whole time.

POE 2 is worse than concord and should never have even been thought of being made

Both games will be fine, poe2 just needs to get to 1.0 and after that poe1 and 2 will run side by side.Poe1 is not anygame that got once released and its done, its contend got updated and advanced for over a decade.

Guys for real put aside your emotions for a minute get ur panties on! GGG said they would continue to support POE 1 alongside POE 2 BEFORE they knew how well it would sell. Turns out the game smashed all their internal expectations, sold a million copies, and actually had an incredible retention relative to the the other games in the genre. Of course they are going to move all resources to the new game.

What did you expect?? Them to prioritize the measly 5 people that play POE 1 over the massive new audience that they have brought to their franchise. Are y’all that retarded?

Yes POE2 is not that great, yes it’s disappointing there are no new systems and they just recycled all the same crap from PO1, however, their priority now should be to retain the IMMENSE new audience they acquired and focus on that and hopefully build something NEW!!

This is gaming evolution, time to move on and let go. And I stand by what I said, if any of you actually believed Mr. Rogers after he put on a coat, that they were gonna maintain both games, that’s on you!!
