" I feel like there's a strong measure of "they can't possibly win" with your viewpoint. A big dose of "damned if they do, damned if they don't" and "you can please some of the people some of the time". I dig this event idea... Honestly probably more than I would another "Colored circle with spawning monsters league". Would it be better if they had handled it perfectly and not gotten wrapped up in POE2 excitement and made all the POE1 zoomers mad? Sure. But also when they did do that and pivoted to an event instead of just clamming up and not saying anything for months like 99.99% of all other game studios, you have to give a little. At least make good faith arguments instead of making up Snidely Whiplash mustache twirling "stupid customers" narratives. You can also just keep table flipping; but maybe realize its not very reasonable. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4. If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. " They are “testing” content for PoE 2 for a long time now buddy, probably some of the leagues you love were already this case. Not inly one game is a sequence to the other, they were even the same game before, so whatever content arrives in PoE 1 may be used in 2 if it makes sense and reverse is also true. Now a new league was presented due to players feedback. Personally it is sounding very cool to me and once again bigger than full seasons in other games, but this is as much “left over” than ay content you played at least since they announced PoE 2 (4.0) and it doesn’t matter in the end.
