" You seem to be misunderstanding how the leagues work. You know why people start over willingly? To enjoy (hopefully) the new mechanics and FRESH ECONOMY. Everyone starts over from the same spot, just some are a lost faster and more efficient. If not for that starting over, it would be the same as standard and basically have most of the same issues that standard does. Everyone starting from scratch means everyone needs new stuff. Without that reset, people don't need to buy so much and welcome to standard... Yep, totally over league play.

I dont get why you all are complaining and saying its tedious to go through the campaign and level up. Like, lets just say after your 1st character you can skip campaign. You now have a level 1 character, what would you do? You will probably go to them same low level zones to level up, so wtf is the difference? you are literaly doing the same content.
Also, how is having leagues bad? its the only reason people keep coming back to play the game. Fresh start, fresh econemy, fresh content and everyone starts from scratch. This game, after all, is all about character progression and there isnt another game that comes close to poe's progression. Just imagine playing this game without league resets. Game would be dead and boring af, everyone runnig around with full mirror tier builds with no reason to ever change anything |

Well... I know of one way but you're only allowed to do it if you're nearly a trillionair.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |

To me campain is way more fun than endgame.
I would gladly see some additional campain instead of mapping that would get us to the final Bosses. |

Hi there, experienced player here.
The "mindset" is that everything you do is this game compiles and builds into wealth over time. Whether that's making a character, maps, whatever. New characters and spending 3 hours in campaign gets you into a fresh mind, fresh gems, the feeling of progression, etc. and they keep this because if they didn't it would cheapen down the game. "Good god, why am I wasting my life slogging through the worst part of this game with absolutely nothing new or interesting going on?" Levels of fresh? What's the point of accumulating anything if it's constantly tossed away the next season? At least in expansions for MMO's you still keep your stuff to move onto the next level, it's not just a complete wipe. As for what will I do. Just simply not play. I cannot stand the early acts of PoE, they literally are the worst part of the game, because none of the skills you want to use are available, and you're just constantly doing busy work. Oh no, lets go get the medicine chest again, I'm sure this is going to be a riveting and difficult experience. Oh no lets go kill the warden again, what? Literally exactly the same as the last 10 times you did this? Oh well better luck next time. Maps at least have some damn variety to them, and at least you know you're just going into it to blast down monsters. The Campaign is a slog, plain and simple. I vaguely was interested in trying the new ascendancies but the fact I have to completely start over from scratch to just -try- new things is a ridiculous format, and I'd rather simply just not play at all. There are other games that value my time better. |

" Now you're exaggerating : that might be true of the community, but this probably already wouldn't apply to most of the playerbase, much less all the other players. (Not everyone is playing enough for that.) (And go ask in the standard leagues chats : you will find some mostly or even only standard leagues players there... some of them being very vocal about how (they think that) challenge leagues suck.) |
