" With respect, you conveniently omitted a few details about those rules. First, there are no clear rules, mods decide arbitrarily. Second, mute length grows exponentially, includes your previous arbitrarily mutes from long past (so you could've forgotten them easily), and also prevents you from trading in a game centered around trading. 30 days delay in trade league mean you may as well stop playing if you aren't skilled enough to progress as SSF. All prices will explode 10 times by the time your "penance" ends. Take a look at this thread for example, shows how system works. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3728394 Basically if you use chat at all, you will get hit eventually, same as deaths in this game:) Last edited by Echothesis#7320 on Mar 4, 2025, 9:38:30 PM

" I mean, you can read the "Code of Conduct" to get an idea: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1457463 Should you still not know if you can send a text or not in global chat without getting hit with a mute - don't send it. Excluding some edge cases, it's obvious what you can send and what not. Some topics get you really fast muted, but that's mostly politics. The link you provided can be such an edge case, but it sounds a little bit sus. Just "trade message" sounds kind of weird. It happens daily in every global chat with active users that someone copy-pastes their trade whisper in global, and they don't get banned because that's not what normally happens. Especially not since the trade site sends the message for you to the right user. I guess it wasn't a copied trade message and instead something else that got detected because it was too close to an RMT message. The system isn't flawless, I got hit by it myself, but to end up with months... if you "did nothing wrong" and it was just a mistake - it's a user error and it's not really easy to account for that via a system. For that, you have the support who can look at the mute directly and decide. |
