The world has gone crazy.
You have to pay to Beta test the game but once the game is complete and fully tested it becomes free to play.
So basically I would have to pay to test the game for you so others can get it for free once it's complete??? Am I missing something? Everything is upside down nowadays. Last bumped on Mar 4, 2025, 4:41:47 PM

PoE betas used to be invite only (free), under NDA to some degree and limited to a selected few players to test the game.
A couple years back a genuinely large amount of players then asked to buy access for the last major PoE1 expansion. People specifically requested it. That's why we have it. |

Typically happens when you've been flooded with crap AAA games for years. You'd gladly pay to play something of substance even if it's half done.

What many paid for was the ability to play POE 2 early knowing it was in rough shape.
Though really what you, many, paid for was a microtransaction that gave fair and full value and included early access as a bonus. As buggy as many full release games can be, *cough* Bethesda *cough*, certainly not just them though and I have always been very happy with the Elder Scrolls games, I dont understand, and I dont specifically mean our OP, how so many felt entitled to a perfect game? Or perhaps I have just seen the postings of a vocal minority? **Asus TUF x670E Gaming, 7950x3d, AIO Corsair H150i Elite, TridentZ 192GB DDR5 6400, Sapphire 7900XTX, All Samsung 4k: 56"<->Arc2 55"<->48", NVME Sabrent Rocket 2TB, MP600 Pro 8tb, MP700 2 TB. " I can see that. What doesn't make sense is that it becomes free once the game is fully tested and ready to launch. Why would I as a "beta tester" pay for a product that others will get for free once it's in a better state... This is complete nonsense. |

I paid for 300 points and got early access for free.

" Oh wow, I didn't realise 300 points were included in the price. That definately sounds a lot better. Do you know if one can upgrade his pack at a later point in time? Last edited by Rockhumper#1211 on Mar 1, 2025, 2:34:47 PM

" You can, what I'm confused about is did you make this post not actually ever having played the game? Or looked up any info? Last edited by TheFriggenBest#6781 on Mar 1, 2025, 2:37:08 PM

I used to do a playtrough in PoE 1.
I quit at end game because trading was too much of a chore and scammy. But no, I didn't take the time to read the whole game description. I just read the title like probably the vast majority of people. Might want to include points or something hinting to it in the title. |
