Why Does PoE2 Keep XP Loss on Death?

+1

This BS will freak me out some day.
I am very close to finish playing POE 2.
This game feels in way to many things like wasting time.

Crafting
Leveling
Items
1 shot mechanics
BLock mechanics
Stun mechanics
and so on..

And of course we are moving like snails

I prefer the more methodical gameplay of poe 2 poe 1 couldnt hold my attention. Not all of us are on adderall. I dont mind the mobs hitting like freighttrains and im asuming over time number of onehit deaths by mobs teleporting to you offscreen will reduce.

But i do think EXP loss on death will literally kill this game faster than anything else.

It is a literal waste of time. You farm exp/hour and then that hour is invalidated.

If you are one of those people who think its good to make you fear of this suffering and it makes this exciting, just hammer a nail into your dick every time you get killed and that will be even more exciting! Have at it, stab yourself in the thigh, put pins under your fingernails. Enjoy it. Just dont expect me to want to be excited over having my progress erased. Most people are not masochistic.

Play something else if you don't like the XP loss. I did. As did many, many others.

Leave the game to the condescending elitists that love it, they'll be happy until the game closes.

I am playing something else, but i paid for a product and i would like to get better rather than fail. Id prefer it to become another forever game for me but with this mechanic in place i cant engage. Otherwise i was enjoying the game up to the point i couldnt progress in it anymore.
Cause it's fine and balanced.

Last 5 passives are not build defining.
Getting to level 100 is a luxury, so it should be challenging.
Omen of Amelioration highest price was 15ex in 0.2.
It motivates to get better at the game mechanics and upgrading your build.
It cuts away the option to fish for a lucky run.

To keep playing addicted players.

I wildly know that addiction is the key in gaming business.

If that's the reason then it's a big fail. I was addicted to the game, after 300 hours I completely lost that addiction due to numerous frustrating design decisions, XP loss being one of them

That in no way makes it a good addition now.

It will eventually change though. In one way or another, it will change. Too many players will bleed out and they'll be forced to address it.
