Also something to consider is that they are dealing with economy's of scale. One of the many issues of which is how you weight feedback. For example let's say 10% of a the players are having a bad time a sizable chunk to be sure but still an "A" if we're grading it. Of that 10 percent it happens to include the streamers who speak to around 50% of the community thus coloring people's perceptions. And like seeing more of a thing that gets brought to your attention even though you really hadn't noticed it before due to the coloring it stands out more. Then it gets further whittled down to the people who would actually come to the forum and complain.
So how much weight do you give for the opinions of streamers and content creators and make the game more fun to watch vs fun to play. I'm personally of the opinion that you should bring up the currency floor rather then lower the currency roof. I made some suggestions about that in a a thread I just posted which I believe would be quite fun to play with. One thing I'd also prefer to see is the speed of the elemental explosions pop off 35-50% faster and lower the purple sphere damage by about the same. Getting swarmed by those things kills me more then even face tanking massive packs of ranged mobs lol |

Not really if was not here no POE and no balance.
The only mistake Jonathan made was to take to many time to nerf bugged build, so it's now a standard to OS every boss after 1 day of playing. |

" The streamer manufactured "consensus" on the state of the game and its future is as real a thing as any. It's in their best interest to clickbait, sensationalize, do whatever it takes for views and popularity - just like all media. They have all fed off of each other's negativity and acted like movie critics here, with only a handful of them really giving much attention to all the things that this game gets right. Ziz is actually one of the worst for this, and got to give GGG some kudos for actually agreeing to talk to that guy at all. Now they are all off playing discount ARPGs, reserving their criticism and blowing kisses at the EHG devs |

" Well said. "Sigh"

You cannot say it's just a streamer manufactured narrative. People are capable of their own opinion and not everyone watches them.
The game is in a massive failure of a state as someone who watches no streamers and loves diablo 2 and path of exile 1. |

" I did not pick a meta build like LS. I did not find my build online. Today I hit level 80 and died for the first (3) times so far this League. ![]() " I watch Northernlion, does that count? I also played D2 and PoE1 and I'm absolutely loving PoE2. It's rough around the edges and needs work in a lot of areas, but I wouldn't expect anything else for the second patch of an extended EA. "But that's a "better" narrative. Pretending that streamers are the main reason why the feedback is so negative right now is easier than to look what GGG did to cause this reaction. [Removed by Support]

The answer to the question in the title is No. The studio is creating a type of game that has never existed before. It's going to take time to get it right. There are tons of details, and tons of content, that needs to be added. The development arc is going fine.
Also, there's no serious alternative. I thought Last Epoch might be, but no. Too easy for me to bother trying it. PoE2 is going to be fine. |
