" No it has been done and tried dozens of times and every time the reviews seem to get worse ergo the community is sick of seeing them. |

If you think GGG's approach looks anything like Diablo Immortal, you don't know much about game systems.

" Yea but instead of keeping to the promise they made they gutted every aspect of their game in the name of innovation and completely doubled back on the word to their community and identity they built. The current game is a shambles on every front lacking identity and balance. It has no idea how it's systems interact and they simply don't (proof in loot system bug) I agree it's early access and we will see how it goes, I stand by that but they need to seriously think about what they're trying to make because at this current time they're trying to underdeliver to a new consumer and hope they just accept it. (Innovating every aspect of a sequel has never delivered success and yes it's a sequel no matter what ggg wants it to be) Last edited by Th1sGuy255255#8969 on Apr 20, 2025, 1:41:44 AM

Jonathan is not the problem, he is the solution, the visionary and delivered (with the whole team) an incredible game.
He isn't afraid to go into raw, unscripted interviews and you see his honest answers. Is he right all the time? No, nobody is. But the fact that PoE community complaints about fcking anything and on top of that would in their madness direct the feedback directly to a person is something disgusting. If there is a real problem, then it is behavior of these "PoE 1 veterans" demanding things like little kids. You don't like the game? Be grateful to the chance to play this and go play anything else. |

"Man... do I have to explain every rhetorical device? Making something new that "never existed before" doesn't equal being good, especially not if your main audience didn't ask for something that never existed before, but instead, that something already existing gets improved. [Removed by Support]

There were clearly some unintended changes to early game as they were tweaking end game, because they can't even tell what's up and didn't test it properly this time.
Their systems are often so entangled that nerfing monsters - nerfs player character at the same time etc. can imagine something went wrong. Comparing poe 2 to diablo 3/4 and calling it a flop is truly silly - because it's literally opposite of what diablo series is doing. I will play it for sure in the future, Diablo IV never again - and I'm massive diablo fun and had the early start version... yeah it's pretty shallow game targeted at everybody, hence nobody can truly enjoy it and love it 100%. Best games are made with certain audiences in mind and poe 2 targets not exactly poe 1 audience. I think Poe 2 is brilliant and best what could happen to a diablo 2 enjoyer in the current era of modern gamers that come and devour anything that is different with hatred and force to make it mediocre and casual. |
