The RMT in POE2 is out of control

Besides having people in global chat blatantly admitting to RMT and even having people trade me telling me to wait for them to buy divines. I have reported several people admitting to it or and are full blown obviously RMT but GGG just lets it slide. Sorry i cant keep playing a game where my time is worth less and less as people just buy currency. Not to mention getting whispers every 4 minutes from the advertisers for the sites is beyond annoying.

Think its time to step away from POE2

Thanks to RMT there are 60k+ of bots in the game 24/7 so they can say "there are 200k people playing, the game can't be that bad"

We get it, you are not happy with the game, well those of us that are playing it are happy with the game. Yes it still needs work, but I'm fine with that and I'm sure there are many other people that are fine with it as well. Seriously just go play something else and move on with your life instead of obsessing over the fact that game is not failing.

First they tried to claim that the player numbers are plummeting, but in reality they are declining a normal rate that happens to every game, every time it gets a spike in numbers. There was a big drop when LE released new content, that is also normal and happens all the time. since then POE2 and LE have been declining at the same rate and the steam charts have remained about 20K apart.

So if you are trying to claim POE2 is plummeting, then you are saying LE is plummeting as well because they are declining at the same rate. The difference is that LE's new content hasn't even been out a week yet and its already declining at the rate of POE2. GGG also has a separate launcher, which I think was about 45% of the EA sales, so it is reasonable to think that about 45% of the player base may be playing on that, like I am, and the POE2 player numbers are much higher than just the steam numbers.

The game is not dying, the majority of the players are not bots, you are not getting endless whispers from RMT's...just stop.

Your claims have about as much merit as me screaming "OMG THE CROCODILES ARE EATING THE POLAR BEARS!!!! WE HAVE TO STOP THIS!!!", or "WE HAVE TO SAVE THE DUCKS FROM BEING MADE INTO DUCT TAPE...PLEASE HELP US SAVE THE DUCKS!!!"

I get it, make believe is fun, but the POE2 feedback forum is not the place for it.

What really grinds my gears is I randomly get fuckin AD SPAM MESSAGES.. like a bot sending me "YO GET EXALTS DIVINES at this website address"..

This never happened in POE1..

I do get endless whispers from RMT even though I am a dirty noob by TFT standards, and never ever had items worth more than 2-3 div in poe2. All it takes to block those messages is learn a bit about UTF pages and regex, must be too big effort for GGG :shrug:

Also they had capped bug reports subforum to 100 pages a few days after first release back in December :kapp: Without it we'd have been looking at 2000+ pages of bug threads now, based on daily speed in there. Even though many threads are repeating and some are just players misinterpreting intended operation, this is a bit more than "just needs work", imho.
