Yes it still needs work, but I'm fine with that and I'm sure there are many other people that are fine with it as well. Seriously just go play something else and move on with your life instead of obsessing over the fact that game is not failing.
...
The game is not dying, the majority of the players are not bots, you are not getting endless whispers from RMT's...just stop.
...
I do get endless whispers from RMT even though I am a dirty noob by TFT standards, and never ever had items worth more than 2-3 div in poe2. All it takes to block those messages is learn a bit about UTF pages and regex, must be too big effort for GGG
Also they had capped bug reports subforum to 100 pages a few days after first release back in December :kapp: Without it we'd have been looking at 2000+ pages of bug threads now, based on daily speed in there. Even though many threads are repeating and some are just players misinterpreting intended operation, this is a bit more than "just needs work", imho.
The only way you would be getting spammed with RMT messages while I am not receiving a single one when I am playing the game every day for many hours is if you bought something from them, or somehow put yourself on their list. They send out blanket messages then don't pick out individual people, wait for them to come online and then spam them and only them. If you were getting spammed out of the blue for no reason, I would be getting it to and I have not gotten a single one. Your making it up.

That's not true. It doesn't matter if you bought stuff from RMTers or not, they still whisper you.
The only thing we don't know is - how do they select ppl to message?

Well RMT was already a thing in PoE 1 and with 2 being a bigger game it means it is more lucrative for them. The question is why is GGG not doing a thing about it...

Except open profiles and ninja exist. They can already see you randomly in town and put your name on the spam list

The bottom line is I've been playing more than most people have and I haven't received a single RMT message at all. If it was out of control, I would be getting random messages with the amount of time I've played the game. I've played many games where it was actually out of control and know what it is like.
Like I said, if someone is getting spammed, they EITHER bought something, OR they somehow got themselves put on a list somehow.
People are answering as if I said the only way is that they bought something and even though they have the part where I said "somehow got themselves put on a list" in the actual quote, that they are responding to as if I didn't say it and said buying something was the only way.
If you are going to reply to me, please read what I said before doing so. That is not too much to ask.

You don't have any listing on trade mate. Not saying that's the reason, but that could be a solid explanation as to why you didn't have the same experience.
The fact that you don't get it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It just tells you're not getting it :)

That actually does make a lot of sense to how people are getting put on the list and I am not. And by thinking about it that way, I have reconsidered that my experience disproves that it is a problem. Also, trading is a big part of the game for a lot of people, so if trading is what is getting people put on a list and they are getting spammed, then it is an issue and I was wrong in saying it wasn't.
As far as the people making claims that the player base is all bots, that is what made me originally roll my eyes and get annoyed. I grouped the OP in with those people and they didn't actually say anything about that, so I apologize to them for grouping them into that.
I retract everything I said about RMT not being a problem and I admit I was wrong, but I stand behind everything I said in regards to the player base being all bots.

If you must know, I had "put myself on their list" after accidentally listing a near-perfect rolled tangletongue for 3ex. It was pretty early in the league and I had no idea how much this item was worth and how 60% of players were already sitting in 1 build. After getting what must've been the longest spam wall in my poe experience I finally sold that accrused spear for 2 div and got my first rmt whisper soon after.
Point was, spam exists, and automated infrastructure exists. If you still wish to believe I am making it all up, suit yourself.
