Please reconsider keeping Kingsmarch.
See you next week!

The only thing from Kingsmarch I did not like is the inability to put ship deliveries on queue or repeat, OR at the very least manage the town remotely. Its a bit of a PITA to have to visit the town just to do chores like its work.
If it would be possible to manage the town remotely, similar to how you can speak to Kingsmarch NPC from hideout, but with more features (like ability to ship/loot from hideout without needing to go through a loading screen). Nobody is really forced to interact with Kingsmarch, but I must agree the benefits are far too great to ignore it. ___

" i dont rlly agree tbh, since poe is such a grindy game, this whole settlers thing actually makes it a lot better for average players like myself to get further into the game with the limited time we got. |

I'll enjoy pretty much everything else about this patch. And likely....I WILL interact with this because I have to.
But I am surprised at this decision, and not a fan. Starting anew....with PoE 2

You dont have to do it...
You can literally skip it, and the gold to loot conversion wont matter since late game you get a FUCKTON of loot from the splinters on maps |

They are going to keep it because it is a thematic bridge to poe2 allegedly, as well as they don't want to toss away the art.
I don't like the town and the parts I didn't like about it are sticking around, RNG for RNG's sake. at least it is a little less mandatory now, but the gold converting drops was definitely noticable, even though I skip 99.999999 percent of loot anyway. It just has too many layers of things I don't consider fun, I don't like slowly filling a meter or watching a timer, I don't like random bossfights that aren't there when i want to do them and appear when I don't want to do them. I do not like having to go to town to fill the disenchanter, I do not like recombinators, I do not like rolling for townsfolk, i do not like them randomly dying. This feels like wow garrisons and not in a good way. Kingsmarch was mostly good from a standpoint of reward, not gameplay. if the rewards are watered down, then people are going to hate it more. That being said the boss fights were good. I like ore nodes in concept, but if they are too rare, then kingsmarch is not going to be seen as a good mechanic, but if desired rewards are only tied to farming/mapping/shipping, then ore doesn't matter. It being seen as good is going to rely on if the new tatoos/runebinds are worth using, how farmable they are, and how tradable they are. I think in a league or two no one is going to bother with kingsmarch other then to recombinate, which they are probably going to move to the hideout. I wish we still had metamorph. |

Yeah, the gameplay is rock bottom and the FOMO is not healthy. I just pray it is poop and unrewarding. I want to skip it so bad and not fall into that trap again. Slaying monsters should be the most rewarding way to play this game. Map runners and shipments should not be core! It was ok for one league. And finally, free all uniques from dust prices! The dust prices also ruin a small part of the game...

" " +1 i want to play the game, not managing a mission table, because the rewards are too good to skip. (tbh WoW Mission Table was dreadful too) Edit: 2nd quote "An aspirant can afford to be promising. An emperor must keep those promises." "For those who ascend too quickly, the fall is inevitable." A simple solution to shipping feeling like a mandatory chore: remove the Mirror Shard from the pool of rewards.
If the best you could get from it was just some Divines - most of the FOMO would be gone. It would become just another mechanic that you could enjoy or skip altogether. |
