Rarity Bot / Culler Needs Nerf

Please delete culler / MFer / 0 dps supports and massively buff party play so that it's enjoyable and not an efficiency loss for 99.99999999% of players.
Party play is ATROCIOUS outside these 0 dps culler builds. There's no reason that an always online multiplayer game should have such terrible party play. D2 did not have this issue. I know this zero fun playstyle was allowed to run rampant in POE1 for a decade, but it's time to fix it. |

almost any party plays are just superior to solo due to the fact you can synergise with each other.
It's more effective than solo even w/o extra rarity modifiers. With aurabots/mf-bots party is broken even in poe1. In poe2 (iirc rarity affect currency tiers) its beyond broken. |

Rarity cullers exist in PoE1 and nobody really complains because there is enough decent farm for characters without IIRC, which is the solution PoE2 should aim for. You also look at group farm methods and forget when people are in a group the loot is split, you find more but obviously you get a portion, not all. Whether or not the stat is "rarity" or the strat is group or solo, there will always be a way to no-life the game harder. People using a strategy that is harder to set up and execute should be reaping better rewards. It is just FOMO breeding nonsense to point at the top and say "that should be me too or not at all". The most important modifiers are on your maps and atlas. That's getting buffed in 0.3, and there is going to be more drops added that are specific to content for people without IIRC to farm just as efficiently. They are doing exactly what they should, add more content with drops that aren't affected by IIRC to bridge the gap. " Thats an odd conclusion to come to seeing as my first comment was that I think it should be removed. I guess thats just another thing to add to the list of things you know nothing about. The problem is that you just actually dont know what your talking about. Youve seen a clip on youtube or something where someone did one map and got five divines and then youve been tricked into thinking this is what every map is like. Rarity has a pretty steep diminishing returns. And you can fairly easily get alot of rarity solo just by getting some on your gear, rolling your maps and using towers. And every person you need to get your party setup to work is another person to split the loot with, and more investment needed in order to actually clear the map. The reality is just that the difference isnt that big, people are just envious of people who are good at farming currencies and need to complain about something. That however doesnt change the fact that the cull mechanic is pretty stupid and would be better to just remove it in my opinion. | |
" I wasn’t watching a clip, I was actually in those groups. Every map dropped a dozen divines, and that’s just what I managed to see - the carry and bot were usually way ahead. And no, loot wasn’t split six ways, the other 4 were just randoms told to only grab Regals. I ran about ten maps like this myself and it was honestly shocking how broken it felt. |
